Would you rather have a overconfident s/o or insecure?

Please explain why

I personally would prefer insecure because my s/o is good enough even if they don't know that by themselves.

Also, I hate narcissism, overconfidence and arrogance. It seems to me that many people got more like this. (I blame the social media mainly)

Seems like a lot of guys prefer insecure to overconfident 🤣... it may be because they feel like it will be harder to please or keep an overconfident girl?

I personally will like an overconfident one over insecure... because insecure girls are way too much work and will probably need so much validation that it's just unreasonable to accept that much from any one person. Essentially I'd just end up being miserable trying to keep this girl happy. And I hate having to repeat myself... I'm the sort of guy who like to deal with a problem head on and solve it so I never have to face it again. But true insecure people can't be fixed so easily... they need professional help or CBT or something. And the thought of having to start a family with such a person... omg... I'd much rather castrate myself and become a monk.

On the other hand it can be fun having an overconfident girlfriend... in fact most of the new age Disney protagonists like Moana and Merida are portrayed as somewhat overconfident... and it's kind of charming seeing that potential and thirst for life.

Overconfidence for me. I find hot shot types tend to be easy to get along with even if they can be obnoxious at times, whereas insecure ones can be very controlling and demand constant attention.

Like overconfidence is usually driven by ignorance of one's own limitations, like Maverick in Top Gun where he thought he was invincible. But insecurity is driven by fear. And fear can lead to much more negative behavior. True narcissism is also more the result of insecurity than overconfidence in my opinion. There's often a victimhood complex underlying it. For example, White Supremacists might sound like narcissists but at the heart of the narrative is the idea that they are victimized by society and being slowly eliminated -- it's fear and insecurity that guides it, not arrogance.

Neither you can't trust either one. Overconfident guys tend to be cocky and try to get with every woman. Insecure tend to be losers if you start dating think they are a player and try to get with other women while dating you. I heard this common theme from women online about overconfident and insecure guys. I want a guy who is secure and confident but not ignorant or cocky.

Neither but if you put a gun to my head to make me choose I'd say pull the trigger. Both are exhausting. Insecure and you constantly have to reassure them and deal with insane jealousy. I could go on and on about this. It sucks your soul dry.

With overconfidence you have to deal with a massive ego and narcissism. A person who can never do wrong as they are the pure embodiment of perfection.

Overconfident can grow to egotistical and that can lead to a very bad breakup, also might be a toxic self-centered partner.
