It still exists to some degree, but not nearly as much as it used to and it is dying out slowly. IN the past men viewed women as special, because they were special, and that's why they treated them chivalrously. But women in general and feminists in particular have worked very hard to NOT be special anymore. And they have succeeded in that goal. Women are no longer special and men are no longer willing to treat them as special.
I think it is a nice gesture to hold the door for your girl/woman. some actions are really unnecessary. I think, in the end, a guy needs to care and take care of his girl, tell her he loves her and act like it. The rest is meaningless.
Even if they appreciate it why should I? We are equals, so I'm not going to treat her like a child. I hold the door open for anyone (common in canada) so ofcourse I would hold it for her too, but I'm not going to do every little thing for her.
With me, it's alive. I've changed my mind 12 days ago. All women deserve to have the chair pulled out for her and doors opened for her. It stuck me that women are ashamed of men that fail to act like men and have effeminate ways and it sparked me to behave better.
Well I'm ashamed that you give in so easily. You are societies bitch, you get told someone is ashamed of you so you change your life because of it? Women who feel ashamed over men who dont do such things are far too entitled. It's the same as men feeling ashamed of women because women are all whores now. It is nothing but an attempt to control the actions of others.
"All women deserve..." nothing. Some women are immoral rapists, some own child prostitution rings, and these women deserve nothing but punishment in my opinion.
Women might be ashamed of effeminate men, but I am ashamed of masculine women trying to dominate the work force. They should be well behaved, attractive, feminine, submissive, slaves... I mean wives...
Not at all. I have guy friends that show me more chivalry than I've ever seen on TV or in movies. None of them even remotely romantically interested in me.
@shinka1y234 no lmao. I dont go out of my way to be nice since some women find it offensive and sexist and I dont expect anything in return. I was using that sentence as a precursor to my point that a lot of women will see a guy whos really nice as an object to buy them drinks and food and give them moral support. Women objectifying men? yeh it really do be that way
It’s still alive in more traditional circles but it’s not as common as it used to be. I appreciate some aspects of chivalry but others I could do without.
It’s a rarity. Men who are often chivalrous get deemed as creepy and then the girl he was chivalrous towards fucks chad thunder cock because he had the courage to slap her ass. Feminism man
I take it by "chivalry" you mean gallantry toward women rather than actual chivalry, it is not entirely dead as I still see people do that kind of thing.
I have had my face what felt like almost completely scratched off. I have been cussed out in the mall for opening a womans door. Im. not going through either one of thise again.

Why do people go around saying we don't appreciate common courtesy? Of course everyone appreciates it, and it's very much alive and well.

To quote Dave Chapelle, "chivalry is dead and women killed it"

Okay. Women who are Holy Ghost filled and doesn't wear pants deserve it.

i don't know if i should be happy for you or feel sorry for you because none of the guys around you is interested in you.
Happy, because I'm gay.
Equal rights, remember?
Not pick and choose, when it suits you...
From my (mans) point of view, she can easily sue him for during it, as it could be viewed as considering her weaker...
I hope she is able to open the door, put on coat or knows how to use chair by now...

yup. feminism killed it. it was probably for the better.

Is chivalry dead?
I don't know, let's have the feminists take their boot off it's neck for a second so we can check it's pulse.
I think it's still alive. Everyone is different though, not everyone believes in it.
Thank you.
Most modern women are obese, promiscuous feminists. It's really not worth jumping through such hoops for people like that.
I try to be chivalrous whenever possible. I may not be pulling out chairs in a restaurant, but you can guarantee that those doors will be opened.
It's not dead but such guys are rare. I prefer chivalrous guys but unfortunately they are faking it most of the times.
Just curious can you explain what you mean by faking it?
Chivalry died over a millennia ago.
Anyone can do those things to show that they care... It isn't even exclusive to men.
