I disagree with that statement... I don't think badly of a guy if he cries. His emotions are probably oveflowing and he can't help it.

It's been proven through longitude case studies that men who bottle it up have health risks. Societal norms and gender roles ensures men stay in their "man box" but doesn't mean it's right to enforce it. Guys should cry whenever they feel like it. What if he's crying all day every day because his mom died, isn't that justified?
