Should I trust my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and his family have really good family friends that the recently went to go visit, they live about 4 hours away. one of the girls in that family is my boyfriends age. he sends me a video of her sleeping on a couch next to him (he was sitting up though). i asked him about it and he said she just got tired and fell asleep. when he came home all he wanted to talk about was how much fun he had on his trip and it made me a little upset not going to lie. he said his family is not too fond of me because i decided to take a year away from school to work and his family is very work driven. however they seem to just adore his friend. ever since he got back from his trip they have been texting non stop. am i overreacting and should i just trust him when he said they are just friends or should i be worried? also when i asked him he said the girl has a boyfriend.
