I went on a “date” with a man who works in the same building. We know each other 6 months but started to go out just last 2 weeks. He was the one inviting me out.

But he just hugs me. And smiles at me a lot. We are not dating or never said that our meetings are dates. We have usually dinners.

I m not sure he likes me as a woman or a friend. But he s the one initiating meetups. And he is 42 , im 29. So it doesn't make sense he wants to be just friends with me. Im sure he is attracted to me and he treats me differently than he treats his male friends.

I know he ll never do first physical move on me, because he before said he is afraid coming of as he wants sex.

But I really want to kiss him.

Should I? shouldn't be man the one innitiating?
Also im not sure he really just want to be a friend.
And how do I do it? Im thinking to ask him what d he do if i kissed him.

1. It is inappropriate in a professional setting. As an employee, you represent the company. Practically owned by the company. If it goes against company policies disciplinary actions can be enacted which can affect everybody in that building based on the actions of others. Which means rules can be greatly enforced and others who haven't done anything can make others want to god forbid use that as the reason good workers want to leave the company.

2. If something goes wrong, both parties will be subject to possible work-related abuse, gossip, bullying, harassment, and other issues that can stop productive workflow if there is a problem. Anybody can see both inside and OUTSIDE the company. All it takes is one person to report it. Call them a snitch or whatever. It affects everyone there.

3. Both parties could be greatly distracted just by being in the same building or environment. This especially can disrupt teamwork if they have projects with other groups of people, regardless of what floor or department they are in.

4. Their relationship can overall affect other people who didn't ask to be caught in the middle. Others may want to switch departments or leave the company because of the company scandal possible. Your there to work, not to start trouble that hurts others.

I just lost my mother 4 years ago to cancer, who was also disabled and who I was a caregiver for since I was 19 years old. I had to worry about finding work because I had no college degree, I had to worry about where I was going to live because I almost could have been homeless, fighting with my father and trying to get myself to school because he don't want to give me information for me to start school, worrying about my parents divorced for over 4 years of my young adulthood life. and you have the AUDACITY, the audacity to talk about how I'm nuts, how I had no experience, how I don't need to be dating or giving people advice? I am now a caregiver again to my 96 year-old grandmother who has Alzheimer's and Dementia oh, I am now a returning adult student for college, I'm raising two large dogs in my house, and I am focusing on my life and building myself up. Women are usually pretty good at reading people and the fact that he is having dinner with you and smiling is a good sign. I would interpret his saying that he doesn't want you to come off as wanting sex as meaning that he doesn't want to come off as JUST wanting sex. I think it means that he is trying to give the impression that he wants to take things slowly and develop a relationship with you, as opposed to screwing you and never talking to you again. You could start the ball rolling by kissing him on the cheek when he hugs you. I think you should let him know that it’s okay if he wants to kiss you. Set your boundaries. I respect him for considering your feelings about you possibly thinking that he’s just wanting sex. after you tell him your boundaries, let him do the work. don’t initiate it because now he knows what he can do & what he can’t do. if he makes the first move, that may show you signs about his interest in you.

There isn't a reprisal for a woman kissing a man first in the society - if he ends up confused or refuses it (which I doubt) all you will have to do is say you're sorry and no harm is done. Men are not as stern/nasty as women in getting angry at you for liking them sexually (it is generally a compliment)

Nah. He doesn't have to initiate it. At the beginning of the date you can start by kissing him on the cheek at first to see if he loosens up. During the date touch his arm. Then when the date is over you can tell him you had a great time and if you want to finally kiss him. Then kiss him.

2) Since when is the guy supposed to initiate? This ain't the 1800s.
