so this guy really likes me and we are just friends right now

last time we hung out he hugged me from behind and tried to kiss me kind of...so we are hanging out again soon and if he tries to kiss me should I let him even though we aren't going out yet

I would, what is the worst that could happen? Even if you decide you don't want to be with him - you don't lose anything except one kiss. But be sure you only do it when you are comfortable and if that day doesn't come then move on.
