Boyfriend doesn’t want to get his GED?

My boyfriend doesn’t want to get his GED and he’s 24 years old. I’ve tried talking to him about it multiple times, saying how it’s important to have more opportunities and it will help with future jobs/financial stability. He doesn’t see my point. We’ve even fought over this before. Would you consider this a deal breaker? Education is important to me.

Know your own standards for a relationship if he's able to work a decent job without it and that job is good enough for you to be okay with then it shouldn't be a big deal but if he's not working and not wanting to get it and you really see him as someone who needs to sort some stuff out in there life in order for you to want to date them. Well then you know what to do. Everyone has there own set of standards/expectations in a relationship at least from my experience of things and there is nothing wrong with saying. "Hey look you not having your GED and no decent job to follow it up with really adds stress to my life that I really don't want to have to think about" maybe I'm a little harsh, but just my view.

If he is unwilling to get a simple easy GED then he is showing how little effort he has to provide for his future. Even if he works he could be hindered for position growth to a making a livable wage.
Just the lack of effort shows his character of being lazy and unteachable for not just education but just general dedication in life.

Yes it's a deal breaker!! Its GED or technical school!! Final!! put your foot down!! Give him a option school or you leave.
