Hi!
I was in a “flatmate with benefits” relationship for a couple of months. Since I really like this guy and we have started to do couple stuff (deep conversations, having meals together, cuddling), I figured it would be a good idea to see if we could make it as a couple. However, he told me that he was just looking for a casual relationship.

After some time to think, I’ve decided that I’d okay to be casual with him as he proposed. Yet he’s the one who treats me like a girlfriend (sharing personal information, asking for my opinion, talks to me about his problems etc.). So, now that I’ve told him to keep it strictly sexual because I don’t want to give him girlfriend benefits without being bis significant other, he wanted to take some time apart and blocked me for a while.

What do you think about his reaction?

He thinks you’re cutting him off with sex, as you should be in my opinion. He’s selfish and that’s all he wants but with the option to stick it elsewhere too. I hope you weren’t going to fall for that.

If he was me, I would have developed certain feeling.
Casual sex isn't for me even when I thought I was.
You may want to ask him directly.
Some men have difficulties expressing feelings without others poking in with a reason.
Share to him why you ask the question. Tell him you're concerned for that specific reason.
Whatever he said, accept it. Don't dwell too long. It's not healthy for you if you do that.
