The problem is all in how you DEFINE the terms "girls" and "guys" here. Think that's obvious? It REALLY isn't.

First of all - I dont have much problems getting dates.
Secondly - most of your argument I love and agree with. The bottom 88% of males who are competing for the bottom 40% of females (source is Kinsey Institute of Psychology and Sexual Research Studies 2010 and peer reviewed up the ass) certainly do both face obstacles, and also do face competition from other same sex genders competing for the same prize.
One fallacy you made however - is failing to take into a account sample size distributional differences between both genders.
The reason this arises in most primates (not just humans but other ape related primates on mass as well) is because 1 guy can impregnate 10 girls at once easily. 1 girl can only be impregnated by 1 male at a time and then has to weight nine months and only has a very small amount of 20-25 chances for reproduction of offspring tops.
Males can have 10000+ in a logical world. This inherently makes females have to be a lot. more careful and a lot more selective with who they allow to fertilize those few eggs. Females who were less careful thousands of years ago no longer have their lineage being passed on due to weak offspring.
Based on separate peer reviewed scientific studies by most DNA tracing companies such as ancestory. com and others, We can trace most peoples dna back to a few very dominite males in history. But their female ancestors lineage do not match a high sample of different people in the population today. The female ancestors have less common offspring existing today. 69% of the population of asia can trace their lineage back to Genghis Khan, the same can not be said about any female ancestor alive in history at any time with a similar size of offspring alive today. This tells us most woman were all taking turns with a very select few top quality men most generations theoughout history - mathmatically speaking. There is no evidence yet contradicting this in a peer reviewed study that has veen replicated that I am yet aware of.
This also perfectly aligns with dating swipes between the two genders from findings on tinder and hinge and bumble that the companies have released showing how many girls swipe and match on the top male vs how many guys swipe and match on the top female (and down the chain onward).
One flaw with these findings though is that although it seems rigged against males - we most also consider that there are nearly double the amount of males active on dating sites as females, on avg.
And on the flip side of that - where females feel it is rigged against their gender (what you pointed out - which I would say is highly accurate) is that they feel like its difficult to get commitment from who they want (the top 46.2% of females are currently matching with the top 12% of males - and rejecting most males lower on tinder score than that currently as of 2023). So they say these guys are assholes and will also commit for more easily to ONS with these top 12% of males out of necessity far more often - because if they dont it is quite likely the next girl will and they will be overlooked or lose their chance all together.
So if you are in the bottom 88% of males you may find it more difficult (exponentially progressively downward) with each drop in popularity percentile based on internal tinder score (and life as ranked by the opposite gender) as a male - compared to the difficulty faced by that same percentile on a popularity scale as a female.
But up the chain popularity wise as a male (think most rockstars as an extreme example) they will find it astronomically exponentially easier to attract and mate - compared to esch percentile of their female equalivalent (most male rockstars athletes and celebrities have 100x more options than their female equavalents who are celebrities rockstars and athletes is an easy example of this - and lines up exactly as the vast majority of peer reviewed scientific journals published show mathmatically based on all available evidence currently.
But overall the averages and difficulties between the two genders eith regards to the MEAN avgs of obstacles success and difficulties overall will be completely identical (with alpha tales of +/- 0.5% cutting off outliars).
But the means and the mode of each avg group in terms of mating success will heavily favour significantly more females on avg during prime reproductive years of both genders.

Wow, you are crazy. 1) women don't have to make the first more ever. This really pisses me off. I am tired of the women that just want a free drink or free dinner. I once went on 3 dates with this woman that always found a way to get a meal. It was at a time I was working 2 jobs and really couldn't afford that. So I would make the dates later like 7pm so it would be after dinner. Nope, still ordered and never offered to pay once. OK, let's take a look at the dating requirements for both sexes.
Women must: - Be found physically attractive by a man - Be willing to date him when he asks
Men must: - Be found physically attractive by a woman - Be able to create the impression he has a good job that pays well - Approach her, ask her out and risk rejection - Pay for the date IF she accepts - Likely pay for a lot of other stuff as well
Men are the ones who have to put themselves out there and risk rejection. Women are passive in dating and men are the ones who have to take action and risks. It is a well-accepted (and obviously true) fact that women have higher standards in dating than men, and the reason for that is... because they CAN. Men have no such option. The biggest complaint women have about dating is that they get approached by lots of guys but not the RIGHT guys. That's because they have higher standards... because they have choices men don't have. Some women will say they also approach guys. That is true for some, and they certainly have that choice. But the VAST majority of women never approach guys. Why? Because they don't have to. Because they have the advantage of the dating game and luxury of sitting back and passively waiting for guys to do all the work and take all the risks.

I honestly think dating sucks for both sexs. When you talk about guys that are average looking in a broad sense of beauty and they have these beautiful girls. They usually have a lot of money and the woman is relying on him financially and has no income herself. You can tip that scale way more in your favor if you have a steady income yourself. An attractive guy could be looking for someone to rely on financially and you would definitely pass on that.
Dating has been getting better as more people are splitting the check for a first date, as a guy that is very pressuring to be very picky about who you go on a date with as you probably spend $50 or more at diner. Or just going on cheat first dates. It's hard being a single guy and having to pay tons of money every weekend for going on first dates with women that aren't interested in you by the end of it.
Women are naturally perceived as the beautiful sex. There is a broad spectrum of woman's faces and bodies and at least to me there is beauty is skinny girls, curvy girls, thick girls, and so on. But for guys you either have to be skinny enough so the little bit of abs you have pop through, or you have to be super fit. Because women do. All they have to do is be attractive and they can wrap men around their finger. She could literally pickup a different every night of the week if she really wanted too. Only time I’ve told women I wasn’t interested in speed dating events was if I didn’t click with them, they were unattractive, or a mother. If I don’t make enough to buy the last girl I was talking to a Haute Couture dress, If I don’t have an Adonis Greek God David sculpture body, a mansion, etc... im just fucking worthless. It sounds like you have very little life experience. I get rejected at least 80% of the time and often well over 90%. Granted, that is not really difficult for me because I have thick skin when it comes to this and I only care about the yeses. Most people when they look at the opposite sex and make these claims argue based on the apex fallacy. They look at those at the top of a group, the most successful, the most attractive - when it comes to dating the kinds of people they find most attractive - and assume that they represent the entire opposite sex.
In reality very attractive men have higher standards and they act differently to average men. Very attractive women have higher standards and act differently to the average woman.

The problem for both genders , is finding a really compatible match , women & men are very differently wired , different though processes and differing needs and wants , so misunderstandings and conflict are inevitable at some point.
Women have it easier than men when it co. es to dating. Period. You have the passive role. You can literally sit, look pretty, and make eye contact with a guy and 3/10 times he will walk over and try to talk to you. Whether or not you get a date is soley based on whether or not you want one. Girls that play this "I don't know yet, let's just start as friends" bullshit never move past it. That's why they don't get real dates. Women that want to find men, do. It's as simple as that.
Nah, women get courted more, women get more attention on social media, women tend to be shy and more passive aggressive. Men and guys tend to be more direct and straight forward and usually women or girls may find that creepy (depending on what the guy says) or how he conducts himself. But women and girls do tend to reject the opposite sex way more, guys tend to be lenient and say sure let's go out. But at the same time guys tend to say yes more because they have less options, or there just after her for sexual purposes or he's a very clingy/needy guy. That's how I look at it.
Well, because they have read a bunch of 'oh, I am a woman and I can get/do whatever I like easily' posts usually created by the blacks and various highly promiscuous minorities (or simply fake) - and also because the fact that women have to be so submissive to be politically correct (like European women who are now obliged to entertain the Turks and Syrians as if somehow remotely interested in them as dates)
The PC needs to stop, so everyone can freely date whom they like, not require a pimp or private security to ward off all the (usually middle eastern or latino) aggressives.

I hate to attack my own gender but-

Looks, personality, income , etc..
I did a little experiment one time; on match. com, I would set certain parameters, just to get an idea of what most men aged 25 - 50 looked like. I also did the same thing for women.
What I found (to be brutally honest) was that most women (regardless of age) were much more physically attractive than nearly all of the men. I'm not necessarily talking about young women either. I mean women in their late 30's to early fifties. There were several of them that I personally would consider attractive.
Some of which I thought were VERY attractive. I mean...

Their pictures were younger, lighter, and prettier than what they were in reality. So I can see how someone would think that there are a lot of beautiful women on PlentyOfFish or Match. com. Try to live in other places. There are families whose mothers and fathers have switched roles. There are also places where men would be kind enough to help in housekeeping and women would be considerate enough to split the bill. Where do you meet your girls? In highschool? Those are the girls that i have known throughout out my life, they expect everything to be done for them, I don't expect them to go to baber or do their hair everyday just look decent but that's who i have come across so far😐
Bullshit!, I don't prefer blondes and I don't sleep around. I like long black hair, but have been attracted to a variety of women. The first woman I was attracted too was 5'7" skinny and Native American, the second woman was 5'11" slender and had long red hair, the third woman 5'6" thicker with brown hair, fourth was a blond 5'4" skinny, fifth was a Middle Eastern woman 5'8" medium, sixth was a 5'10" black woman slender, and the seventh was a Vietnamese woman 5'6" skinny. Don't know enough Hispanic women, but certainly will find some attractive. Pheromones really don't discriminate, they determine physical attraction by genetic compatibility. Obviously in seeking a healthy relationship one must look beyond the physical, I look at what a woman believes and how she thinks. I look for women within my age group, up to 3 years older or down to 3 years younger.
@Reaperbot666 I personally prefer darker hair too and even dark eyes as they exude so much warmth so the guys I find attractive tend to have brown hair and brown eyes. I also think most celebs and supermodels I think are pretty have dark features like Angelina Jolie, Aishwarya Rai, Audrey Hepburn, Kriti Sanon, Salma Hayek, Kendall Jener, Kim Kardashian, Tara Sutaria, Pia Sutaria, Meghan Fox, Scarlett Johanson have really sharp features and all have dark hair and have brown or hazel eyes except Meghan Fox. I think beauty is more about sharpness of features, big eyes, feminine and small jaws and having an hourglass frame than having blonde hair or blue eyes. At the end of the day it’s subjective and maybe there are some men who prefer blondes but to say all men do is so ignorant and silly on the OP’s part. Some men specifically only are attracted to dark hair and eyes.
At your age, women are at peak attractiveness to most men, so of course it's easier for you (there are also more men than women in your age cohort at that time in your life).
The reason that it may seem more difficult is generally that women are more picky and want to feel they're getting a good deal.
Men have to make at least 75% of the moves, they have to go through the steps of getting to know you then getting flirty to romantic, They need to drive you places to eat, they have to remain strong and defensive for you, they need to be over your height, their dicks need to be 8 inches at least and experienced in bed, they need to initiate every conversation, girls expect them to, it's a long list.
I don't think guys realize the effort girls also have to put into a relationship too though. Girls don't really expect most of these things considereing most men (at least my age) don't want to be in a relationship so they will often put in bare minimum effort with woman. Girls are not used to real men who actually accomplish all of these tasks so they end up dating guys who don't take them out nice places to eat, are rude, and are boring in conversation. Honestly, if a guy can accomplish all of these things then he is catch and should be able to date anyone he wanted as well. (also - i would actually prefer if my man wasn't too experienced in bed. A high body count may look cool to the boys but its a turn off for many woman)

Easier in a sense of shear numbers. Far more thirsty men out there on the dating scene than available good women. However, these large pools of males only equal a larger headache in discerning the thousands of bad apples from a handful of genuine men.
It’s not easy for either sex. Both genders have their perks and flows in dating. In my experience women tend to be more upfront than men.
But my guy friends will lie their ass off to make a women feel comfortable in order to sleep with them. Women have to go through so many men to find a decent guy.

Men have it easier in that their standards are typically lower. Women have higher standards. However, because women have such high standards, men find it difficult to get a date but a woman does not have to try as hard. There guys waiting.

Not really. Men have lower standards on physical appearance than men do. When it comes to dating, women tend to have high and unrealistic standards. Men are far simpler.
Lots of people like blondes. Would it make a difference if it were brunettes? Don't want women to go out getting drunk all the time, and have a degree. That's not that high, and that is a poor article that provides nothing. If an acceptable degree of physical attraction for a man is a 5, for a woman it's a 7 or 8. And that's just physical attraction.
Because commitment is a lot more to ask for than sex. Just realistically. Isn't it rather odd that women initiate most of the divorces and breakups yet they're the ones who are usually so cuckoo for commitment? hmmmm

I agree. Dating as a woman definitely isn't as easy as men think it is! They have very high standards for womens' appearance, and sometimes their age also.

I think I disagree. Girls have a lot of specifications like he should be this tall, he should have a great body, he should... blah blah. Guys on the other hand usually just look whether she's a girl and she's single. We don't have any specifications mostly. I would posit that the guy already has his finances straight, and doesn't care about a graduate degree (except for the potential for a huge student loan debt that comes with it). A decent looking man will have a tougher time getting dates than a decent looking woman. In dating women have all the power and in my experience with all the rejections I've faced just being cross eyed and legally blind, they are way pickier than me. I live a normal life and am pretty much independent, but still couldn't buy a date lo. Women have it way easier.
Because women are the ones that do the choosing, men have to do the approach work, while most women will just smile and let that be it. It's always been the guys role to impress with house job car, looks, which to be fair I find girls that are interested in those things before personality materialistic and wouldn't date anyway. Well you see men do get judged rough. You are talking about men that are dateable. Some men have a tiny 3 inch penis. And can never get a girl. Even if they have a six pack. In most situations women don’t have to deal with being the pursuer. Men have to face the possibility of rejection and work up the nerve/ courage to talk to a girl. And maybe it’s just be but we are also concerned about saying or doing one little thing wrong (sometimes not knowing what we did wrong in the first place) that might cause the girl to never talk to us again. In dating the girl gets to decide if she wants to give a guy a chance and go on a date, or reject him.
Men have an easier time getting commitment, but women have an easier time getting attention. It's just another example of the miscommunication between men and women.

Isn’t commitment better than receiving a dick pick when it comes to long term fulfillment?
Of course commitment is better, but you might have a slightly different view of things when I tell you this: the reason that a lot of men (not all men, but most) don't commit has nothing to do with his standards of physical beauty. The real reason that so many men aren't willing to commit is that the woman's personality isn't there. She's not intriguing and enticing him mentally/emotionally, the way he needs her to, to be attractive.
Hindsight is 20-20 though, and women are great at hiding things from men. Speaking as a guy who fell into that trap once; I had no idea that she was crazy. I made excuses for some red flags that I shouldn’t have.
