Because due to evolutionary biology, since humans are animals, males (specifically higher mammals) are designed to be, and to want to be, bigger/taller/faster/stronger on average than females. So in terms of human romance and sexuality, the overwhelming majority of guys want just that, to be bigger and taller than their female (s) and find that desirable, to be a protector, just like the majority of females want to feel protectED, hence why most females want their guy to be taller, even much taller.

Human females have a legitimate evolutionary desire for height because it is a trait that enhances survival. For us, height is not nearly so much an issue and MANY men are fine with women taller than them.

@abc3643 It... isn't false at all, and almost all of the other species you're referring to are animals that are not higher mammals like humans are, such as species of birds or insects or arachnids or fish. Almost all higher mammal species, including almost all species of primate (to which humans are most closely related) are as I described.

Furthermore, there are plenty of mammalian species in which females are generally larger than males.
For instance, consult this June 1976 paper in The Quarterly Review of Biology titled "MAMMALS IN WHICH FEMALES ARE LARGER THAN MALES". This is the first few sentences of the abstract:

@abc3643 Uhhh... yes... "because of how they evolved" is indeed how... evolution works. I don't understand the point you're making. And there are still more higher mammal species where the males are bigger and stronger. This isn't a matter of opinion.

I did by stating the reality of the world: most animal species on this planet have females larger than males. So, there is not universal dictate that evolution would cause males to be larger than females. Each species evolves in their own way.

Anyway, we are going off on a tangent. Let's focus on your immediate issue: You are comparatively short and having a difficult time with females. I, too, am short although slightly taller than you. Yet, my height was never debilitating toward getting women. Sure, some women would reject me straight-out because of my height but definitely not all of them. Women want a best friend. Become their best friend :
1) make them laugh and feel at ease.
2) make them feel that you are genuinely listening - don't try to solve their problems unless they ask, just be empathetic.
3) let yourself be someone they can go to to relieve stress and not create it.
4) have decent hygiene and manners - Be cool, have class, and play less video games.

Do these things, and you are home free.

Trust me on this: In 1992-1993, I was working in LA with a short dark Mexican-American kid (he was an "anchor baby") who was co-oping from MIT. He was a real nerd, not attractive, zits, glasses, and all and about your height - possibly shorter. I was 29-30. He was having a rough time with women... totally clueless. I told him most of what I just told you above (some I learned since that time) and he thanked me. He soon had two girlfriends AT THE SAME TIME.
