The background is this: me and this woman who I met on a dating app have been video dating for a few weeks. She then told me she wasn’t feeling a connection, but said she’s been having fun in a plutonic way - we’ve been playing games online together. Fair enough. I responded by saying that’s fine while also adding that video dating has its challenges when it comes to determining whether a romantic connection is possible (such as video chatting effectively being like catching up with a friend. It may be good for maintaining already established relationships but perhaps it’s not so good for developing a connection at the start of a relationship. Generalising I know but that’s how I’ve found it) - she agreed with what I said and also agreed to meeting up in person.
I do like this woman. Although I’m not going in with any expectations (at the end of the day I’d have spent a few hours with an awesome person), I do want to see if there’s potentially something more there when we do meet in person.
I figure meeting in person would allow us the opportunity to talk more without the distraction of the games we’re playing. Does anyone have any advice on how I should proceed? For encouragement sake, anyone have any success stories where the other person wasn’t initially feeling it over virtual communication methods but got there in the end? How did you get there?
(PS: Genuine advice please. I don’t want any PUA rubbish and no mention of the “friend zone” either as that’s rubbish too - good friendships are often the foundation of good relationships.)

Treat the meetup as a fresh start, not a continuation of the “no spark” label, and focus on being present, curious, and a bit more expressive than you can be over video.
Keep it simple like coffee or a walk, add light flirting and physical presence, and pay attention to whether the vibe feels different in person rather than trying to force it.
If there’s still no shift, accept it and move on, but if there is, just let it build naturally without overanalyzing it.
you're already in the friend zone. you aren't getting out.
So you ask a question and will only accept answers you wanna read?
Yea, ok
No, I said I don’t want PUA rubbish or BS about the so-called “friend zone” which doesn’t exist.
