I dont think either. Over weight is unhealthy. I myself am trying to get back in to shape. Being over weight should never be accepted but never put down either. Those people may need help to get back in shape. It surely doesn't help having a food industry using crap in their food that causes the problems either.
Socially? Fat women are much more discriminated against and bullied.
But in reality, men are more accepting of chubby women than women are accepting of chubby men. Women are also naturally have a higher percentage of body fat.
Fat women get more support with the fat positivity movement. Also I would bet money that if you took a random sample of fat men and fat women the fat women would get significantly more matches on any online dating site than the fat men would.

Let's answer this question by applying common sense. How many couples where the guy is overweight and the girl is tall, skinny and better looking than him? (for example, like the Orange man) Now, do you see a lot of model looking guys, dating overweight women? I don't

I think it is more acceptable for men I’ve seen so many comments online calling women who are perfectly healthy fat I’ve seen people calling Dua Lipa fat and she is far from fat yet those same people will go and praise a girl who looks anorexic and is showing bones and ribs and they will call her hot etc
Well, there is a segment of the female population who support all things female regardless of what that is. It shows up daily right across society. These people are illogical but have convinced themselves they're virtuous.
There is no such equivalent in the male population.
Look, it's not healthy to be overweight. But if you are talking about a relationship, then I must say that your physical appearance doesn't matter, and if it does, get the heck out of that relationship!!
I think it's more acceptable for men because I've noticed after a lady has given birth, she has to lose the baby weight. were as its acceptable after having a child, for the dad to put on weight and get a dad bod, even though he's literally not even the one carrying the child or nursing it or doing as much work. I think women are more pressured to look a certain way, than guys.
Women can be fat and you better love them or you hate women and fat shaming according to twitter. Men on the other hand are considered disgusting and creepy if they're fat.
You notice how women are always called plus size but men are called fat or overweight.
When was the last time you saw a fat male model or pornstar?
Think of lifestyle and what are the daily tasks people have to endure. Men usually do more physical tasks therefore they can be expected to have less fat. However, due to modernism, most men find themselves sitting in front of a computer working, so I don't think the same expectation can be had of men in this modern era.
As for women, its generally the same.
One. Women have almost twice as much natural fats as men.
Two. Fat women can still pull guys. Get boyfriends or husbands. Fat guys... good luck. Fat women are cared for. The whole fat shaming thing is about fat shaming women. No-one cares if you fat shame a guy.

I don't actually believe the whole dad bod thing. I believe women don't necessarily like the bodybuilder physique but a tall athletic muscular body is way more preferable to dad bod. Women are sneaky. I think they only say they like dad bods because they are insecure about themselves. They think a guy with six pack abs has more options so us way more likely to cheat. Plus, fat girls feel bad about themselves if they're walking next to a guy who looks after himself. Trust me. I know.
I think that is maybe true for some but the guy is supposed to be heavier and that way he can look stronger too so it would still be better than a fat girlfriend

men do care about how women look, yet they do accept overweight girls.
Woman should be full figured.. n not walking popsicle sticks... n overweight? says who.. n what.. authority... obesity on the other hand thats not good at all for either sex... but over weight you'll probable do better that most in a famon which is a huge possiblity in the near future... I don't know about "acceptable" but women probably hear more from others about it and maybe judged a bit more? But guys are as well. You don't hear about it as much, but it happens. And it seems to be becoming more "acceptable" for women, you hear things like BBW etc, which is funny to me because you don't hear BHM (big handsome man), he's just fat.
I think a woman's slim upper body might get compensated by her breasts, thus together with her wider hips (and considering the broader shoulder parts of a man unlikely to gain fat) a woman might be able to "hide" her fat here and there on her body better than a man.
It isn't acceptable for anyone to be overweight. Unless it's some medical problem one should always try to stay fit and healthy. Instead of making excuses one should get help from a professional or online and become fit
Neither. If somebody is overweight and they dont have a medical reason not to lose weight then they should do smth about it

Men gave faster metabolism than females which means men can lose weight faster then females. So women are acceptable being overweight
Then drunk driving must be okay too since you’ll be sober the next day. Look, actions have consequences. If a woman wants to live longer OR get a quality man in a serious relationship she’d be wise to lay off the excuses & donuts
