No, because I cannot do forced or fake smiles, regardless of who asks me to. That is also a reason I hate taking pictures: I cannot smile on cue; I have to have a reason to smile.

Meaning if my partner asked me to smile, he would have to make me laugh or say something that causes me to smile: otherwise, it's not happening.
Besides, I rather my smile be sincere than fake. You should not smile just because someone tells you to; that doesn't make you or them feel better.

My partner never has. It's demeaning. Like training a dog to bark on command. That's why photos where everyone is told "smile" are annoying.

But I remember a colleague once telling me I should "smile more" & I almost said fuck you Joe. That's how people with self-respect should respond. A smile is supposed to represent happiness, pleasure, etc. Asking someone to fake an emotion like that is rude, ignorant & incredibly self centered.

Nope. I don't think my boyfriend would ever do that. Neither do I. What's the point of getting a fake smile?

When me or my boyfriend want to see the other smile we try to come with good jokes or share a funny video, meme or so. Because the thing is to get an honest smile.

I know it seems like such an easy thing to say yes too... but if I'm not smiling, it's because something is deeply affecting me. I'd hope my partner not insist that I smile when I'm feeling like that.
Personally, I've mostly experienced this in a negative way. A partner has done something that hurt me or I am hurt by and then they apologize and want it done with. "Now won't you smile?" Uggh this gives me negative emotions.

    No,
You'd have to be pretty broken inside to accept giving a fake smile. Most people that accept though... They probably don't know they are broken. But maybe deep down they do... Maybe they will have to collapse to realize somethings wrong.

So if you ever witness someone in that situation, be an Angel to them: say something. A simple remark could change a life sometimes. I know that to be true

Hard to answer because I do not have a boyfriend and never have I had a boyfriend before. If my imaginary boyfriend asked me to smile I would not. Just because it shouldn’t be forced. But if it was for a picture yeah I’d be happy to smile not just simply because he asked me out of the blue. I do not like to be told what to do.

It depends on what we’re talking about, if I’m angry I won’t be smiling anytime soon. It would take a few hours for me to start smiling. He doesn’t have to tell me to smile generally because I usually am smiling most of the time.

It depends on what kind of mood I’m in. My girlfriend hardly ever smiles. Even when we take pictures, someone has to act silly just to make her smile.

No. If he asks for a kiss I will give it, but my smile is for my own pleasure. If I am amused, happy or in a state of bliss, I smile regardless of who is watching or looking the other way.

It depends. If nothing is wrong and he or she wants to see ill give them a little one. You can't fake it obviously but sometimes you just wanna see it.

Fake smiles can cause happiness for both you and your partner. I often in the past have wanted my partner to smile. Fake or not as fake smiles can have a positive impact on mood. It sorta tricks you brain into thinking you're happy.

No I am happy if I can tell my partners smile is fake. Because it means she is trying to be happy. I also fake smiles when I'm on my own if I'm not feeling grand because it does work.
