@Gosselinfan Ok, first of all, it's called gender dysphoria. It is a disorder that some people are born with. THAT is why some people want to. Also, although you cannot change biological sex, you CAN change genders. There are procedures that help with this, like bottom surgeries. A bottom surgery for a transwoman would give her a vagina, and vice-versa for a transman. @Gosselinfan Yes, it is a disorder. No, we should not oppress or judge transgendered people. You are clearly ignorant about the topic. Either do some research, or stop acting like you already know all there is to know about them.
A disorder get fixed, as much as possible. It's not a crime, it's not something to be ashamed of because it's not your fault, and you're not less of a human being for having it, but it's something you still work on fixing.

Yes, they should be treated. What you do not seem to understand it that the only cure is to change genders. Look up "cure for gender dysphoria". First thing that pops up :Treatment. Treatment options for gender dysphoria include counseling, cross-sex hormones, puberty suppression and gender reassignment surgery. Some adults may have a strong desire to be of a different gender and to be treated as a different gender without seeking medical treatment or altering their body.
That's not a treatement, that's just bowing down to the disorder. As if someone said he was Georges Washington and to help him you'd give him a new set of clothes and the key to the white house. Or someone with a eating disorder, and to help him you'd take all his food away.
It is the only thing they can do. Gender dysphoria: Gender dysphoria is the feeling of discomfort or distress that might occur in people whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth or sex-related physical characteristics. Transgender and gender-nonconforming people might experience gender dysphoria at some point in their lives.
They can't make these feelings go away. The only way to ease their distress is to be their preferred gender, (or as close as they can get.) And did you know that LGBTQ youth seriously contemplate suicide at almost three times the rate of heterosexual youth? Yeah, it's bad, so, yes, they need treatment. And the treatment is to change into the person they are on the inside.
Except they don't change. It's nothing more than make up. You can cut, hide, modify anything superficially, that doesn't change who you are. Identifying as something doesn't make you that thing. And it certainly won't make me identify you as that thing.
