I think dating apps are for the very desperate.

I met my long term boyfriend in person through a friend when I was 15. I never understand when people say they’re attached to someone they never met in person.

The concept sounds so dumb to me.

If I haven’t touched them, felt them, smelt them then I can’t love them. I can’t even like them! Maybe they look nice in photos but that’s it.

It’s not gonna be anything like oh my God I can’t live without them now that they’ve blocked me or something.

I think technology dating apps like Tinder and marriage sites have made people so desperate and sexually frustrated. People have no standards. They just want a cum bucket or a human dildo.

I tell you even if I were 40 and I were single for years I still wouldn’t be with the first person who showed interest if I am not 150% physically, sexually attracted and emotionally attached to the person. If they’re not perfect for me then they won’t be my SO.

Dating apps were just meant to find a person who matches with your hobbies and criterias so you can select from a bunch of contenders, like any thing real.

The original concept was to know sinething about them b4 you even meet, thd only flae they didn't see was people lie big time.

So the idea was going down after sonetime, but as technology advanced people started believing fake as real.

It's more about the looks than relationship now.

Now it's kinda pimping site, but not entirely though here and there relationship could be built depends on thd mindset of the people and what they are looking for

I think her friends brothers were using a lesser known app. They are Muslim they were using this app called Muzmatch where the Muslims are apparently meant to find a spouse but apparently they have been looking for one night stands and were successful at having one night stands too! They had sex in their car. 😳🧐

Yes either that or the boys were exaggerating. But then again some girls here are very sexually frustrated and promiscuous so it could be that they were telling the truth. I think if they wanted a spouse they could have just gone through their park but instead decided to meet random boys off an app unchaperoned and alone in a car.

As far as I know, marriage apps are community based where you get people of similar qualities or an ideal family as per communities they are mostly for arranged marriages.
Bcaise families will get involved and nothing is a ooth over there includes process, and they are just like brokers that set up families for arranged marriages

Desperate to an extent. I just feel people have lost patience when it comes to dating apps. Also it seems like most people want hook ups and since you have 1000s of people at your screen so they get unrealistically picky. A lot use it for just hook ups. I'm glad i found someone in real life without the help of a dating app. I haven't heard many success stories of dating apps leading to successful marriages and kids. Heard more about hook-ups/one night stands with the help of these apps.

No, I don't think they are.
Some people would like to expand their dating pool beyond their small town. It's an opportunity to meet someone new and get to know them a bit before committing to a first date where you can truly see if you have a connection. Not everyone is lucky enough to meet someone at 15, you know.
I personally am not a fan of dating apps, I've never even signed up for one. I'm old fashioned and would rather meet someone naturally, but I'm certainly not going to judge someone for using a dating app.

Not really. We’re moving to a digital age, and most social interaction are done through the internet due to covid anyways. Your options are much greater online as you have the potential to meet so many more people with like-minded values.

I was on tinder in college and met a lot of awesome girls. Tinder wasn’t the only source in which I met women, but it did complement what I already had going.

I really don’t care how I initially meet them. As long as we vibe when we meet in person and share similar interest.

Your mindset seems fitting 10 years ago, but we live in a new era. Why limit your dating prospects by not getting with the times? Doesn’t make sense to me.

But... Calling people desperate for using them is really stupid and ignorant.

Not everyone is able to meet people in person. Some people are home schooled, go to a school with only the same sex, or maybe their town is very small so it's hard to meet new people.

So some genuine people go to dating apps seeing what is out there. I have some friends that met their girlfriend on tinder and they're still together.

However a lot of people use dating apps to hookup or to promote their social media. Then you got trolls and catfishes.

So... No they're not just for desperate people. But dating apps are indeed trash.

It's a good way to filter out the idiots out there. Pay for a better site if you are serious. For me its great. How many women do I meet at a bar or shopping or wherever who like what I like. Almost never. Online I can spend 30 minutes and find a dozen. Why waste time hoping that I meet someone who understands what I like?

It's 2021. You'd have to be quite out of touch with reality to not know how extremely common dating apps have become and believe only "desperate" people use them. People from all walks of life use them for all sorts of reasons. It has become as normal as watching Netflix. no, because simply there will be many people to pick the right one for you while in real life it's just limited on the people who are around. besides when you see someone attractive it's riskier than when you see their profiles and interests.
