Can you survive without make up? Sure you can. You can't without clothes. So you're comparing clothes to makeup. Unless if you wanna be specific, you wear something under your bra to make your boobs look bigger or you wear loose clothes to hide your belly fat, if that's your intention then sure that's comparable to make up.

Again we've been wearing clothes for billions of years and dress codes are already there for us. Wearing something presentable is not comparable to makeup but like what i said, putting something under your bra to make your boobs look bigger, or you wear that kind of clothes to hide what you're insecure about as an intention is the one that is comparable to make up but not wearing nice clothes themselves. Wearing something nice and simple is a basic way to present yourself. I'm not saying all girls who wear makeup are fraud. If they like to wear makeup for themselves then sure but it's just really easy to make excuses about that.
