So I had been seeing this guy who is 30 and just graduated but is in huge debt from school and is looking currently for his first job that is in his field he graduated in. So, he’s broke and doesn’t have much background in his career besides odd jobs here and there.
Since we had been dating, I graduated already (I’m 27) and I have a really great career and have had it for a couple years now. I make good money, definitely more than he does. (~$65,000 salary). However, a couple years ago I made a really poor decision that cost me thousands and thousands of debt. I won’t say what but I have so many bills to pay until this year is up, I am so broke. Literally paycheck to paycheck. Prior to telling him this, he told me he didn’t think he had what I needed from a man and thought we were in different places in life and didn’t want to become serious with me. We continued to casually see each other though, and I brought up my financial situation, and since then he is getting more serious with me? His behavior has changed and I’m just wondering if he’s reconsidering us all because of money/career?
