It makes me smile, yes. Though, it's kind of weird. I have to wait for him to come across and all that and I don't know what to do while standing there. Just watch him? Haha. I guess I just usually get in the car quickly, so I'm not used to it when it's happened.
As for walking me to my door, yep, really like that one. It makes me feel as though he really enjoys being with me, he's there till the end, and it's hard for him to let me go. I may be thinking highly of myself there, but the message it sends, the gesture itself, is good. Sometimes, I'll even look through my window and watch him leave smiling.
I'm 20.
I am 18 and I appreciate it when guys do those things for me. The guy I have been seeing lately always opens doors, carries my things if I have any, orders for me, etc. I never expected any of it and at first I thought it was awkward, I still end up blushing when he does anything chivalrous for me (which he finds quite entertaining).
He obviously knows that I am perfectly capable of doing all of those things for myself. He is not doing them because he thinks I am a week, feeble woman but rather to show that he is willing to put effort into "winning me over".
I'd like if he walked me to the door if its nighttime (it will also win you parent points)
and as for the door, who ever is in front should open the door for the other person/stranger
I must say I'm always a flattered when a guy opens the door for me or makes sure I go in front of him in a line.
In my car, the handle broke off on the passenger's side door from the inside, so I HAVE to let people out, whether it's a girl or not. I still open it from the outside, though. I also always walk her to the door if I'm taking her home, or out to her car if she drove.
Women want equality, they can open their own damn door.

aww I think that's really sweet! I don't think it's necessary to do every day though. random is better because it makes it more special! especially when it's a nice date or if the girl is having a bad day! but definitely not every day... that's excessive! :)
Hey, I'm 16 & it depends on the kind of girl. Some may think its "so romantic" & it shows that your caring enough too do that. I know that I love when a guy does that. Some girls don't like it cause they may think its too old. So I think it depends on the girl. & this is from a girls point of view.
Well running out of the car to open the door for me when it's right on the side of me is a bit much. But it would certainly be nice for him to walk me to the door :)
of course we love it! and it would be one of the most impressive thing you can do on a date, specially on the first dates. and yes there are still some guys out there that do it ! :D
Well as a female I've never really gone on "dates" but this one guy friend of mine always opened the car door for me and it made me feel really uncomfortable for some reason. I'm an independent person and I can open my own damn door
Yes. This is especially good on first dates, but why not just do it all the time?
You know what I love? When you unlock the door to let her in and walk around to the other side and STILL have to use your keys to get into the car, inconsiderate self-centered bitches, the lot of them.
