I would have if it was on the side I was walking towards but I feel like it's doing the most if I have to rush over to her side just to open the door right. Girls do you think I should have opened the door for her, guys what do you do?

it isn't something i generally do, nor do men in my are generally do so... it just isn't really all that practical to do unless the doors are locked and you can't just press a button to change that... it also tells you something about the person if they don't unlock your side for you after they get in...
holding a building's door is sort of customary in general, but for men or younger women that can more often manifest as giving the door a shove as you get out of their way... it is kind of presumed that they will catch it... i think on a date it is pretty standard to make a point of beating the woman to the door so you can hold it for her...
You'll get the traditional girls who will love it and then the modern feminists who go 'I'm a grown woman, I can open a door myself' and all that.
I do open the door, but it's actually because I'm very careful with my car and therefore would rather just open it myself. If I'm with a traditional girl I can just pass it off as being a gentlemen and if I'm with a girl who doesn't appreciate it, I can just say 'I wasn't doing it for you, I was doing it for my car'... So I get by either way, lol.
With me you would earn extra points if you went out of your way to open the door. However I don't expect it and don't wait to see if he will. Also in everyday life I open doors for people all the time. Men or women. And they do for me. My son I have taught him to open doors for women and his elders. I'm old fashion and don't follow today's feminism who look at a man opening a door for her as him thinking she's weak. Is it so awful to think that men and women do need each other or even compliment each other for different reasons Without one feeling inferior to the other?
I like opening the door myself and for others but I let a guy do it if he insists. Otherwise I don’t see a point. My boyfriend loves opening doors for me but I like opening doors for others so sonríeme we have a competition to see who can be the most chivalrous.
I don't think you have to but its a good way of making yourself look extremely good with minimal effort or sacrifice

You show very economic thinking. The extra distance to be covered, and the investment of time required to open the door as an additional service need to be balanced by appropriate return. If there is doubt, risk can be minimised by optimising your own input effort. After all, it is YOUR car! As it appears, you did not even charge a fare. So she really has no reason to complain.
Your right the guy puts damn near all the effort I had to plan the date, pay for the date and drive 20 minutes to pick her up. Shit she should have opened the door up for me xD
Good one 😁
I think if it's your car and you happen to be on the passengers side of the car at the same time and are in between the passenger and the car it is only polite to open the door.
Agreed
If I happen to be on that side of the car first (walking into the parking lot, on the street) I'll open it for her, but if I'm already on the other side, well quite frankly we're adults and that shouldn't be hard
Exactly 😂 it feels silly for her to have to wait for me to open the door for her
I always open the door. My mom taught me to always open and hold the door for ladies and the elderly. Not because they are weak or old, but because they deserve respect.
So guys dont deserve respect?
I love it when he opens the car door for me, or any door. It's a sign of respect so there's nothing wrong with any guy who opens the car door for his date or his wife!
Does it matter if he doesn't
No it doesn't matter if he didn't, he does it out if kindness, showing he honors a d respects his wife. He isn't expected to do so and he knows it. He opened doors for me long before we ever started dating, try like six or seven years old, blame it on his Mom she taught it to him there's nothing wrong with it at all.
What's to hold against someone who withholds a act of kindness for another person who as a matter of fact happens to be his wife? That's really kind of a warped view!
Open the door for each other whenever you can. Do nice things for each other, little things to show you care. It should not, however, be gender specific.
In this day and age no reason why women can't open the damn door themselves. Then again it doesn't hurt to open the door for them.
118!! You must have been through it all
If you get a second date lock her side just to mess with her.
😂😂😂 I'll definitely have to try that
Everytime I've been on a date, the man has opened the door for me so I guess I have become to accept it as normal now.
I use to think it was polite to open the door for a woman, but now with everything I hear and read online I wonder if it would be considered disrespectful.
I suppose attempt to open the door for the girl and hope she appreciates the thought.
Not at all. Women wanted equality, now they need to get with the program.
I'm a Southerner and doing things like that is just the way I was taught growing up. To me it's just manners and courtesy, and I open and hold doors for perfect strangers as well.
Do what makes you happy. You want to open the door do it. You don't, then don't. Also stop caring what she says, care about what she does. You don't like what she says then tell her.
At first or every once in a while it would be cute and probably mean a lot after a long day
Open the door if you want her to think you're a gentleman. I probably wouldn't expect it unless he was right there.
No, lol. If you want to impress, you can do that. But it's not necessary in my opinion.
You should definitely go out of your way to open the door if you want to impress her but if not, she can open the door herself since you not expecting more than being friends with her
I don’t expect it but I think it’s a very nice gesture
Bruh chivalry don’t be a rudeass open her fuckin door next time
Lol so much aggression from a kid chill bruh
Woww real alphas don't have to proclaim themselves as alphas so there for your not a real alpha
Sounds like a child talking
Lol So fucking makes you a man that's a very immature mentality.
I don't know maybe cuz your a kid
😆 I'm just fucking with you dude
But you still ain't grown yet
Personally, I'd rather open it myself lol. But in general if the guy does open the door for you, it gives them more points
I don't believe it should be expected, no. That's high maintenance right there! But, if you really wanted to impress it'd be a good idea.
No he can open his own door just like I can do mu own.
I don’t need a guy to open a door for me. I’m not disabled..
I love it when guys still open car doors
Does it matter if they don't like would you think less of him
We don't like it.
I don't know some high maintenance girls who feel intitled might
Open the door for your date.
Doesn't matter for me
I never do that its unnecessary
I have always done, I wouldn't stop now
I like it when a guy does, personally...
She has hands and arms she can open it herself.
Let her open it. She isn't a child.
That would be nice.
If she don't got arms than yeah
Should.. I do, Some ladies dont like that though.
I think it's nice to open the door for your date!
Not essential.
