Open a car door for woman friend?

guys and girls, I was invited to lunch by a man I work with for my birthday, a first for me. We asked two others to come along, one woman one man, our boss. After this lunch the colleague who asked me to lunch opened my car door for me, which is chivalrous and he even asked me, not the others, although they rode with us, if I wanted coffee or hot chocolate as well. I have had people open doors for me many times, but not to the car. Is that something guys do for ladies they just think of as friends? It has been rumored he has a crush.

I think it means he likes you!!! To all guys out there: I'd never EXPECT anyone to hold open any sort of door for me. But if you do... That makes my freaking day and I will instantly like you even more!!!

Thank u. It was icy out that day too. He mildly made fun of my being slower than the others, but it was a joke. My sis said he must be comfortable with me to do that. Do men tease women they like that way?

wtf I'm not her butler. I'm kind with women but there are boundaries between kindness and that stuff. I'm not saying that I would never do it but...

I do it for a date or a romantic interest or the girl I'm dating. NOT for my friend lady though.

I honestly don't see guys opening car door for anyone a whole lot anymore. Actually the joke is if someone sees a man open car door for a woman they say.. either she's a new wife (or gf) or the car is new... lol!
