I get a lot of mixed reactions I get the best reaction when I open doors for my lady’s mom she loves it but I think it’s because she's old school

Personally I wouldn’t mind and at and would really be charmed that a guy would do something that is so gentlemanly.

However I would be very surprised (maybe that’s what you see as mixed reactions) and this wouldn’t be the thing I’d expect at all. Maybe this would be something that you can announce like “hey, let me open the door for you”.

I wouldn’t suggest that you do this each and every time though as indeed that wouldn’t be very practical as some have already mentioned.

I hate it! I don’t know, I’m just used to doing all of that myself! that I just prefer to open the door myself, like by the time you get out of the drivers seat to open the door, I could have already been out of the car. I’m weird.
