Why is my boyfriend more cutesy and sweet when drunk?

My boyfriend texted me the other day this really sweet and romantic paragraph of how he feels about me and how he never felt this way about any other girl. It was recently brought up in a conversation and apparently that night he went out drinking with his friends when he sent that text. Then he goes on how he’s always so down bad when he’s drunk like he was in the texts.

Is it wrong for me to be feeling kinda hurt by that? How he only means and says the sweet things to me when he’s drunk? I know that they say a drunk mans words is a sober mans thoughts but I don't know something doesn’t feel right here.

Men have to try Really hard not to be cutesy, we'd lose respect for them if they were cute all the time. So they have to force this alpha male act (as much as they can). When drunk his guard is down, that's probably the real him that he has to hide all the time.

I don't drink but my friend who drinks says that when she drinks she manages to express her feelings very well and makes people understand how she feels
