Trending & News I would not have that issue since I have rules I follow for a first date:
First date rules:
1. Always a Cocoa/Coffee date. Yes, I said it, coffee is gross, get over it. Also if you can not stand each other you are only out a few dollars for a hot beverage.
2. Always meet in a public area with lots of people around for witnesses.
3. Never pick her up at her house on the first date (she just may be a crazy person). Tell her for safety reasons you will feel more comfortable if you both drove yourselves to an agreed location.
4. Always have a friend call 15 minutes into the date or better have them sitting a few tables away so the can intervene should the need arise.
5. Never let them see what vehicle you are driving, park 10-15 minutes away. Even better call a Uber.
6. Always have a back-up plan, I normally pick locations based on shopping I need to do. That way if she is crazy you did not waste your time.
I did have a second date that went to hell and I basically left her high and dry. We were going out to dinner and I opened the door for her. She got mad that I was such a misogynist, "How dare you open the door for me, I am capable of opening my own door", she said. Well that was enough for me so I let the door slam her in the ass and I did a 180 and left.
So to answer your question, yes I would but it would be an extreme reaction to an extreme situation. Normally I would not have that problem.
Of course.
If I take a girl out, her safety and security is my responsibility until I get her safely back home, unless she absolutely refuses it, which I've never had happen.
Even if she acts like the world's biggest bitch, her safety is still my responsibility until I get her home. I may never want to talk to her again, but I'm not going to abandon her to the world in the middle of the date. Her poor behavior isn't going to make me ignore my own values.
I would never pick someone up for a first date, period. We should both arrive separately JUST FOR THIS REASON. If things go sour, no one has to hang around with the other.
Mama said always have taxi fare home. He or she is a grownup. Let them get themselves home.
Just because a date doesn't work out is no reason to be an ass... Unless they arranged someone to pick them up, rule of thumb would be if you picked them up, you drop them off..

Of course I would. A gentleman could not do any less.
Taking your chances with a date is your choice. If you did take said choice and you're the one driving, you should keep going with the date until it's definitely off. Namely when she enters her abode and you go back to yours. It's not a matter of being knightly (not worth it anymore), but of decency. You don't leave somebody astrand when you were the one taking them away from their homes.
Assuming it was something like "we didn't hit it off", then of course. If it was something more unpleasantly intense, I'd at least call them a cab. I'd only leave completely if it was the sort of thing that ended with them swearing vengeance on my family unto seven generations, or some such.
Yes for sure look just because you don't see eye-to-eye on something doesn't mean you become a dick about it you still have to do the right thing no matter what the reason is I mean if you can't be grown up without the whole thing at least have dinner or whatever you were going to do I say Shame on both of you
Depends, on why the date didn't go well.
If it was due to us simply being incompatible, then yeah of course I'd drive them back.
But if ut was something like the date being a horrible person, maybe bring rude to waiters etc, I wouldn't. They can call an uber or I'll call one for them but I don't intend to hang around this person any longer.
Yes I would. I'm surprised so many people say they wouldn't. I assume either they don't live far and can walk home but I never had a first date go so bad till I wouldn't let them in my car again especially if they need a ride home and I brought them there.
Until I know the person, I'm driving myself there. But I certainly hope that, unless there was some sort of violent or hateful encounter, there would still be some pleasantries.
A friend picking you up wouldn't be so bad though.
Of course. Am I going to leave her stranded? This actually happened to me. We were about 30 min into the date and it was already crashing and burning. The whole date lasted about 1.5 hrs with 1 hr of that drive time.
Yes, I would even if the other person was to blame. Even if they couldn't unglue their faces from their phones. The date would end early but I still would be a gentleman and drive her back home to make sure she got home safely.
If it's a first date then 99+% of the time we are meeting somewhere, which means that she drove there in her own car. Regardless: yes, I'd drive her home. Failing that I'd arrange for Uber, or something similar.
Yes I would, and I have. It was the worst date I've ever been on and the guy turned out to be a freakin nazi of all things! I cut the date short and drove him straight home.
Depending upon how tragic the date was. If she said something offensive and didn't even notice forcing me to vomit a little, HELL YES.
If I drove them there, which is unlikely since I am not a car guy and don't own one. So she needs to get home the same way she got there.
I've never been picked up for a first date, or even the first couple because for my own safety, I insist we meet places, so I'm not sure this would be an issue.
Drive in your own car till you know the person you’re dealing with.
Yeah, it would be petty if I left them stranded or to find their own way back. Sometimes things don't work out and that's is okay
Pssh, no. She's just gonna laugh with her friends "And then he drove me home" "What a loser" "He thought he still had a chance?"
Like the song says..."If you be good to me, I'll be good to you... And we can both ride home in my automobile!" ♪♪♪
I always thought the motto of going on a date, is driving separate cars upon meeting someone.
During the early stages of dating, I prefer to meet the guy somewhere so definitely no
Of course! What if something happened to them all cos you decided to strand them…
No, i don't have any car or other vehicle to do this.
Yeah, unless it appeared too dangerous for me to or she tells me she doesn't want to.
No because I can't drive
If you mean get whoever is driving me to deliver them to their place of residence then sure
It all depends. If there was just no chemistry yes. If she was simply being a rude, entitled and ungrateful little bitc* then she can get her Uber back.
Of course. I might walk her to the door too if she was still speaking to me.
For a first date I always meet at the destination, so that would not be an issue. Being picked up at home is just stupid.
It depends 😂…I always tell people, “carry your taxi money “.. don’t depend on your ‘date’ to take care of you.
Depends.
Doesn't pick up people for a date in the first place due to that and some other reasons.
Yes of course I would. If I drove her there I'll be driving her home. It's the right and respectful thing to do.
Kind of depends. If she tried to stab me I'd probly open the door and boot her to the curb.
Depends on how efficient it is for me and why it didn't go well.
Probably, one time I met a woman after the gym and I was acting a little too thirsty so she kicked me outta the car. She was gonna drive me home
Of course. Unless they were abusive you shouldn't ditch someone just because the date doesn't go well.
Yes, I would. I always maintain professionalism regardless of the circumstances.
I’d be worse than them to leave them stranded for such a petty reason.
Of course, that would be the gentleman thing to do.
Yes I would. Hopefully, I didn't blow it to such an extent that she thinks that I am a pervert.
No, because I was not the one driving in the first place.
Yes, If she was walking home alone or had no way of getting home then definitely.
Yes. Well, depends on which way the date ended badly i guess
Unless she attacked me or something I wouldn’t mind
Did i pick her up from home? If yes then i return her home.
Yeah! Of course! That would be messed up to leave her stranded
But I like sleeping...
🤣🤣🤣
I did that few months ago I was still a gentleman altrought women don't appreciate that.
Yea if we didn't show up in different vehicles. Not going to leave her stranded.
No. They'll soak in the cold rain and get rolled on the way home for all I care.
It will be a awkward drive home but I will definitely.
I will throw here in the nearest gang hood i can find..
One liter of gas is more valuable 😂
If she behaved badly I would call Lyft.
It’s the right thing to do
Yes, it's the right thing to do.
I always try and act like a gentleman.
Depends on the situation
After she tricked enough to pay for dinner.
Definitely, no reason not to.
Wouldn't want her to get hurt because I left her. I dont think I could live with myself tbh
I would get them an Uber.
I would not abandon anyone
Depends on what happened
How bad did it go
