Is my neighbour into me?

I am due to move out soon but I don’t know if I should act on this before. I’m very attracted to him but also nervous as hell around him. I’m thinking he’s into me but could I be mistaken? What are the chances I’m over-reading?

1) he would very often adopt a gentle tone and speak softly to me? And also touch my upper arm at times

2) he would sometimes tease me and have this dopey grin on his face while titling his head at me (a very contagious eye-to-eye smile like he thinks I’m super adorable - you know that ‘aww look’ when you give to babies/puppies)

3) we once ran into each other while out and when he realised it - he acknowledged me and then started at me intensely (I was passing him)

4) he seems to come around the common area shirtless a lot when he knows I’m outside - we live in a coliving space. He comes home late night - sees me in the shared space alone and would go into his room and reappear shirtless a few minutes later (on the pretext that he wants water /throw rubbish). I’d be working but it seems like a show for me?

Am I overthinking any of these 4 signs?

It depends, if you're too needy you might be overthinking them and thinking that any tiny things he does is because he's into you. But there's a possibility that he's really interested in you.

That’s the thing - I don’t know how to judge.

We’ve been neighbours for almost a year. He would get me to hang out in a group setting and invite me to events on a couple of times but I never showed as was working. I then went on to date other people and never thought much of him until a couple weeks ago when we bumped into each other (we’re returning to office and going out more since restrictions have been slightly lifted) and had a really good chat during which he was leaning into me, touching my upper arm etc.

I tend to be very critical of myself and would downplay interest. but I don’t know if I’m projecting my attraction on to him

If you're moving soon will you be moving far from him? Will you be upset if you hooked up with him and you enjoyed it a lot but you won't ever see him again. I say give it a shot

I've been down this road last year where I thought I was overthinking it so I tried to avoid him so I won't think about him. Been seeing him more around lately and talking more and he's doing all that above which he also did back then which makes me think he's interested or very attracted to me
