Why the hell are you going to be dating a person who is lusting after miners? I don't care if the girl is 16 or 17 years old. He has no business looking in attempting a another young person. That's enough to tell you what his reason intentions are with being with you. He considers it primarily sexual. And if you're going to be with him regardless of what it's being said, then you got to be responsible for being involved with that kind of man. And if God forbid he does serious harm to you, rape you, Etc, do not complain. Because you picked that man. It should not happen to you, and I pray it doesn't happen to you, but you need to use some common sense. Him not serving jail time does not mean that he still isn't registered as a sex offender. You do not always have to do jail time in order for you to prove to the world what is and isn't done. You should not be asking other people should you go out with a sex offender. It's just common sense. You are 22 years old, you want an adult, you figured that out and ask yourself that question. And it's not meant to be rude. But you are an adult. And if you cannot make an adult decision, it's best you stay single. What does the last thing I need to do is get hurt because you refuse to do what's right. If you're going to get hurt, then you have to take responsibility and accountability for the heart. But if you can't handle it, then you can't be crying and whining the blues when it happens. If you're too young for something that's very serious, if you cannot think for yourself, best to be smart then to be unwise.

My mother thought these girls were aunties her age with 5/6 children! They looked like their bodies were falling apart even before 16. Now even though I am 23 I look like a kid and sometimes boys joke with me thay they’ll need to check my ID if they were ever to get involved. This shows how much girls actually lie or that boys assumed they were older.
Apart from that it could be that the offender was someone of the same name and/or DOB but it wasn’t this guy you’re talking to.
If he wasn’t convicted then it might not have been serious. It would be best to ask him I suppose. In 2019 he would have been 20/21 however if the incident occured years before that he may have been 16/17 with a 13/14 year old. That is a very common occurrence. I have known my boyfriend who is older than me since I was 15 but we started a relationship when I was 17 and a half and he was a few weeks shy of 23.00 Reply
+1 yso he was 21 and they were under 14... It's messed up but depending on circumstances it may not have been as bad as the report makes it out to be. It's possible she looked older than 14 and if he thought she was older at the time, say like 18, it may not have seemed that bad at the time. I knew a guy that was 20 and slept with a 16 year old thinking she was around the same age since she went to a college party. It's not like the next day I thought he was a pedophile, he literally thought she was around the same age and turned out he was wrong. Based on the report you read things may not have been so cut and dry. Since he wasn't given jail time there may have been enough evidence on his side of the story that pointed to him not actually being a pedophile, just unlucky like a friend of mine. When I was 13 there was a guy in my grade that was 6"2, had a beard, and dunked. The guy could pass for 25 at 13. Women are even more ambiguous with age than men are so I would give his side a listen, it may turn out he is a normal guy and was just super unlucky.

Reasonable. There are a lot of young women out there who have no common sense, then try to get the man in trouble to get themselves out of trouble, when they realize how dumb their actions were. And if the numbers paint a bad picture, the guy is screwed.
It's to the point that men now need to ID and card potential dates the same as if they were selling them liquor at a gas station. It's sad; but that's our culture. And before you even THINK of messing around in bed, get her to sign and date a waiver.
If she storms off angry, she wasn't worth it in the first place.
2.3K opinions shared on Dating topic. Let's play a game of time machine, shall we? Let's say you go out with this guy and you have good chemistry. Eventually you get pregnant (whether by accident or on purpose) . Maybe you two are even feeling good about raising a kid together. Your brain will try to forget/home the sex offender stuff isn't true. But one day, you find this guy doing something shady with your child. That's on you for opening the door to the guy in the first place. It didn't have to be.
Hell, his long term plan could even be to find someone dumb enough to have his baby and then that mom dies by 'accident' and he has the kid all to himself. Pedos ONLY care about themselves. Beware.00 Reply

+1 yFew years ago I started to see someone and I found out from someone they told me the person I was interested in dating was a registered sex offender. I was shocked and saw the information online. Saw that the guy I was seeing had a sexual relationship with a 14 year old girl when he was 20. I told the guy about that and he said he was stupid and naïve. He told me that the young girl was forcing him to do something he did not want to do and ended up telling her parents they were having a sexual relationship. I ended up not dating him because he was hooking up with other women. So I ended it but you should really talk it out with him and trust your gut.
00 Reply1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Almost all sex offenders are guys that had a relationship with the same age or younger under the age of consent girlfriend. 2119 is not necessarily when it took place since it can take 2 or 3 years for the case to work itself through the court system. From the information given it is not possible to know when or what happened. If sex, he could have taken a plea to a lesser crime. They could have played around, or she could have sent him a nude sexualized photo and he kept it.
The biggest problem with having a relationship with him is not whether or not he is a good person. Instead, it is how society will treat him and the difficulty of getting a good job, and the limitations of where he is allowed to live.10 Reply
+1 yNo, there's many other men out there. The thought that comes to my mind is the fact that he's listed as a sex offender once, meaning he's been caught once, it could be the tip of the ice-burg. Plus even if the relationship worked out between you two, imagine worrying about him at family functions with younger family members.

+1 yThis is my take, he was about the same age and the girls parents did not like him and decided to teach him a lesson. I would give him a chance and I bet he tells you about it when he feels comfortable. So do not go into this with ant preconceived ideas is my advice.
00 Reply13.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. How long ago did this happen? Under 14 is pretty young. How old was he when the offense occurred. I wouldn't be too worried about a 16-year-old with a 13-year-old, but a 19-year-old? That's something else.

+1 yHow the fuck is "registered child molester" not an immediate deal breaker? Why would yoy consider going out with a man like that? Who cares if he served jail time or not? Most of them never do, it doesn't mean he didn't do it
02 Reply- +1 y
To be fair it is "sex offender" not necessarily "child molester." You could get something like that just by taking a piss in public so it may not have been that bad. A 14 year old involved does narrow down the possibilities somewhat tho so its probably something worse than peeing.

@snackthatsmilesback Exactly. If it was something like peeing in public near a school there would be a specific kid listed as the victim.

They are put on there because they still currently pose a threat to society.10 Replythis is a charge which normally would carry a sentance

If these lewd acts are of non consensual nature, don't risk yourself. Otherwise, talk him about it and decide.00 Reply 8.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. I think being a registered sex offender is a big red flag. I would steer clear.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yAs long as you're not under 14, you have nothing to worry about. And he might have other good qualities. You should just give him a chance. Maybe you can make him attracted to women his own age.

It could be worst than the plea deal, or nothing.
