One misunderstanding after two dates and she dumps me?

Apparently there was a miscommunication about when our third date was supposed to be. She was going to come back early from out of town to go on my boat. Apparently something got mixed up and she seems to think I'm mad about it. This is the problem with texting... Hopefully I can call her this evening and talk on the phone about it. Is this just a female thing? They will end things over a little miscommunication at the drop of a hat? This always happens to me. I mean if I had a dollar for every time this happened to me I could take the rest of the month off.

Does this sound like another broken girl? Seems like I only attract those kind. I mean how are you supposed to develop anything with someone that bails in a split second?

Remember we act on emotion a lot of the time, and then logic comes in when we calm down a little ( sorry about that)

It does sound like an overreaction, but usually, if girls are quick to leave, it’s either because she got badly hurt in her last relationship and she finds it easier to leave rather than risk going through it again, or she wasn’t that into it in the first place.
It it’s the former, she may not be as ready to date again as she thought... because any negativity will make her bolt, just to avoid that damage again. It’s hard to have a relationship in those circumstances.

So now what do I do? All I did was text her and ask if she was still planning on coming back early, not realizing she totally forgot about going on the boat ride we talked about earlier in the week. I don't think it's the latter.

I don’t really understand how someone can just forget about going on a date, even if she forgot the day and time, it’s more normal to double check to make sure.
It doesn’t sound like you have done anything wrong.
Just call her or text her in a “ no worries” kind of way, and take it from there.

Well I do have a bad habit of not worrying about the details like an exact meet up time until closer to the date like a day or so before. I'm not saying it's all her fault. It's kind of just a miscommunication on both ends.

It depends how casual you want to keep it between the two of you.
If you what things to work, you need to be clear with each other what you want and what is going on. Otherwise, it will be one disaster after another.

If it’s not working, don’t hold onto it just because things haven’t worked out with anyone else yet.

We said Monday, but the exact time of her showing up wasn't discussed. I texted the day before to see what time she was heading back. Evidently I waited too long to work out that little detail.

I agree completely, but why do they have to blow things out of proportion? Hopefully she will be rational and I can just call her tonight when she gets home from work.

Has she been like that previously. Maybe she was having some stress in another part of her life and she just "went home and kicked the dog." When you talk, I would not get into her reaction being over-the-top. That will just make her defensive and may push her in the wrong direction.

Kind of. On our second date she somehow thought I was more interested in working in my shop than going on a date. We were just waiting for her dad to head back home from staying in town for a few days. Just because im at the shop doesn't mean I won't stop what I'm doing to meetup with her. So she kind of went back and forth and got bent out of shape about it.

Maybe that is the writing on the wall to which you should be paying attention. When people are courting, they are usually on their BEST behavior. That means that this is as good as it gets!

Possibly, but everyone has their insecurities. Too early to tell anything yet or throw in the towel.
