First let’s address the massive elephant in the room, all women are beautiful. That’s not a platitude either, it’s a moral imperative in the modern world. Body image issues are massive problems for females. Especially since the beauty standards are still irrationally unachievable for 90+% of the population. Thankfully things are slowly progressing and you’re seeing positive changes in society and far more acceptable of the fact that someone not near concentration camp skinny isn’t ugly.

That said, sorry for the rant, women get cheated on for a variety of reasons. Men too, there is no simple answer.

Just like there is no simple answer to most of life’s questions.

I will say that you will see in many cases that men cheat with some many consider less attractive than their current partner. There has even been some research into this if I recall. Varying opinions on the root cause, mostly centering around physical attraction verses emotional or intellectual attraction.

If you ask 10 people you’ll likely get 10 different answers. Thankfully while marriage rates have gone down significantly for my generation (millennials) and many are waiting to get married, divorces for married couples of my generation are very low. Don’t think that means less infidelity but more likely since people are taking more time to find the right partner it’s leading to more lasting marriages.

You can accept all the fluff answers here or face reality. “Beautiful” women, whatever that means actually, let’s say in the sense of popularity of looks by the masses programmed by the media mostly, tend to be excessively narcissistic, making them more emotionally distant and usually very bad in bed, I mean, dry, cold, fish, check-the-pulse bad—she is a plastic beauty. That is vs. the average-plain-Jane woman, that is typically, appreciative, warm, personable, and usually very hot in bed because she is very responsive crossing to assertive sexually—she possesses natural beauty. From my point of view, the latter is the beautiful one (natural) in all of this; but, again beauty is in the eye of the beholder and usually the beholder is the women herself in the former—plastic “beautiful” one. The bond to plastic beauty is severely fleeting and so it is only natural eventually to seek a warm natural beauty to fill an empty void.

Monogamy isn't natural for most species on the planet, and it sure the hell isn't natural for humans. Men are hardwired to want to fuck & impregnate as many women as possible to carry on his genetic line (no offense guys). While i accept this as fact, it also tells me that dating & marriage is technically unnatural, where as one night stands are more natural to humans as a species.

But men cheat for a variety of reasons, mainly because of bitchy attitudes, boredom & lack of sex. It doesn't matter how pretty the face if the attitude is shit & the sex has become stagnant or predictable.

Women put more stalk into sex & relationships, it's a mental/emotional game for us, whereas men is more about passing on the genetic code. Not saying men aren't capable of a more emotional connection, but they can be ready to go at a drop of the hat vs ladies who need to be in a certain mental state.

Women cheat too, doesn't matter how handsome or successful the partner, they too can cheat.

It's my opinion that if you're thinking about cheating, it's time to end the relationship. There is nothing wrong with staying single & having a fuck buddy or multiple/many one night stands.

If anyone is with someone who isn't serious about the commitment, he will cheat no matter how she looks.

I didn't read all of the comments, but I glanced at a few. Some of these guys are trying to blame the woman, but it's not her it's him. If she's mean sure that's a reason; however, if she's the best woman in the world, always nice and always being good and loyal to him, if he is not serious about the commitment he will still cheat.

The key is finding out if he's serious and truly committed. If you figure out how to tell that, let me know LOL.

It can be for almost any reason, but I find that a lot of cheaters lack self control and want what they don't have, and/or like to believe that the grass is greener on the other side, and/or see an opportunity and go for it, regardless of whether their current partner is a good catch or not. It could also be because they're not being satisfied in other ways that just looks can't provide, though that's certainly not an excuse.

A common question people ask whether in their minds or out loud is, “Why do men cheat on pretty girls?” After some conversations on the subject and some deep thoughts about it, it caused me to ponder on it. Why DO men cheat on attractive women? How come there are so many normal – “uglier” women who seem to be in happier relationships with faithful men?

One of the main reasons attractive women get cheated on so much is that attractive women attract the most men who care solely about looks. This is a huge contributing factor because a lot of attractive women are lazy, or feel they might be too good to approach a man, so they pick the man to have a relationship with out of the guys who have already approached them. Basically choosing the best out of the worst.

Sometimes you have to make an effort to get the better guys. Good guys are not truly infatuated with looks and will not chase a girl just because he sees other guys are doing it. He will not be a woman’s groupie.

As women we sometimes like to think that every guy we should talk to or build a relationship with should approach us or chase us down. This is not true and is what can cause difficulties when it comes to finding the right guy who will be faithful.

One of the other big reasons is that some ladies would rather be with a gorgeous, arrogant guy who treats them like crap then be with a decent looking man who would treat her right and give her the world. Looks are not everything; just because he looks good doesn’t mean he is right for you!

The point I’m trying to make to women is to stop being so lazy. You don’t have to choose the guy you want to be with out of the guys who approach you, also just because a guy asks you for your number, doesn’t mean you need to give it to him. Good things come with patience and work so put some effort into the next guy you decide to be with and see how big of a difference it can make

Sometimes they find somebody else They connect with more emotionally, or difficulty at home makes them feel unappreciated.

Sometimes they think that because they are with a beautiful woman that means that they can get other beautiful women And that it should be okay to cheat.

Sometimes they just find somebody who's willing to bang right now and not have to jump through all the hoops.

Sometimes there's an infatuation with somebody else, maybe they are less attractive by that society's standards but there is something about them that the cheater is drawn to.

Sometimes people who consider themselves beautiful get up their own ass and become insufferable and drive people away from them.
