Depends on what you mean by “relationship”. If you mean monogamous exclusive dating or marriage. Guy or gal, not everyone is easy for that and rushing someone into it is just a recipe for the sky high divorce rates of my parents generation.
Thankfully that cycle is breaking in my generation, the social pressure to rush into marriage or long term relationships is dramatically less and no shocker. People marrying at a later age when they’re more mature and ready for marriage has resulted in significantly lower divorce rates in millennials compared to Gen X and Baby Boomers.
Meeting someone has no implicit or explicit explanation for anything besides meeting. Any expectations you have need to be stated openly and without any guile or presumption at all.
You want an exclusive relationship got to say it and yes not everyone is going to be receptive to that. Nor should they, traditional values when it comes to sexuality and intimate relations is extremely archaic.
I’m not saying go out and have unprotected sex with every person you can see. This is 2021 not 1961, thank the universe. But traditional marriage and the previous social expectations of courtship are outdated.
Unmarried cohabitation is becoming common, casual (hopefully safe) sex is increasing prevalent and rapidly losing its stigma in this nation.
While some think this is bad, I think it’s great because it’s far more realistic about human nature and a return to our more rational senses than the moral standards driven almost exclusively by the Abrahamic religions in the western nations ever was or ever could by any objective reasoning.
My time in the Middle East where standards are far more restrictive only cemented this even more to me.
100% get that you might be ready for a long term monogamous relationship and I’m sure there are people out there interested too but guy or gal doesn’t mean everyone it and the burden if on you in my opinion to set your expectations for any relationship in advance explicitly.00 Reply

+1 y... To talk, and have a normal friendly conversation?
I get that socially us ladies are conditioned to think any meeting a member of the opposite sex is a "date". But that's archaic and dumb.
Humans connect, interact, talk, share ideas. It's what we do. It's what we've done since the dawn of our species. It's what has advanced us through the years.
I go for regular coffees and hang outs with many friends in a platonic setting. To talk, to brainstorm, to share ideas, etc.
It's just a nice thing to be able to talk to others. Plus professionally coffee shop networking has helped me advance my career. It's good to know how to talk to and interact with others.00 Reply
He is looking for some fun. Just know that when a guy says he doesn't want a relationship literally believe him and don't think you can change his mind because you can't no matter how great and perfect of a woman you are. If he doesn't want one then he doesn't want one.

He wants all the benefits without putting any commitment and time.
He's not only meeting you but is also exploring and trying to meet other girls as well.
These people only love to string you along unless they find someone more suitable. If they don't, then they settle with you, use you for ego boost and take you for granted.10 Reply

+1 yIf he isn't looking for a relationship but you are, it isn't a good idea to meet up unless you're going to be okay with a one night stand.
But are you really that naive to not know what he's after? Seriously?00 Reply He wants to meet you cause he likes the assets he’s getting without the title of “ committed relationship “ no labels. If a guy has told you right from the start he isn’t looking for relationship. Believe him!

If he said that and still asks to meet. More than likey: sex. The minor possibility, but still completely possible: he just wants to be friends. Like 99.8% sure it's sex.
