Why did he ask me to be his plus one at his cousin's wedding?

We were chilling and he told me his cousin's is getting married. He wanted me to be his plus one. We've been together two months and I don't know why he'd want me to be around his family.

I basically told him why would he want to be seen in public with me since we haven't made things official yet. I'm wondering why he'd ask me such?

He asked you because 1) a wedding is a party, and you might enjoy it and 2) he thinks he will enjoy it more if you are there. If I were you, I would go.
