Could well be. You're not ready to choose a husband anyway, so it's mostly just for fun and entertainment, for practice. And why it's best to have a lot of friends, both genders, and do fun stuff together. Eventually you may meet someone worth spending more time with, and you actually do some 'dating'. That's where you spend one-on-one time together, getting to know each other romantically.

Don't be in too big of a rush to grow into adulthood. You can never go back and re-live your childhood.

I started dating at 14, so I would say no 🤷🏻‍♀ as long as you're responsible and not completely naive (meaning that you know what you're going into and don't let the other person force you to do anything)

I had mg first girlfriend at 15 and had been asking girls out since I was 11. It’s almost certainly going to end in heartbreak/a breakup but learning to work through that now is easier than later in life when you live together, have a house together, let’s, kids, etc.

My first girlfriend was 15 and I was 16. A lot of people have their first relationships by high school.
Girls mature at an earlier age than most guys. Once their bodies blossom, they feel ready to try relationships. There were girls in my 8th grade class who were dating guys in high school.

It is in my opinion safer to get used to boys while living at home, dating etc, than your first experience being 18 and away at college.

Just don’t rush stuff, enjoy the dating as dating and just have fun.

It sounds about the right age to start dating, doesn't mean it has to be something serious or move to fast. As long as you are comfortable with it then it's fine, just don't rush in to sex.
