What's an average age to have your first boyfriend?
It honestly varries per location and culture. From my experience of living/growing up in two different states and in areas of two different cultures, kids start dating at about 16 to 10. This does not necessarily mean that you should follow this norm though. From what you stated, it would seem that you feel pressured to have a boyfriend/girlfriend. That should not be your reason to start dating. If it is, you are not mature enough and should wait AT LEAST until you enter your junour or sophmore year of high school or wait until college. Remember, it is important to know how to function alone without anyone helping you, especially a significant other.

Ha middle school relationships are usually pointless. Kids would start a relationship and then an hour later be broken up.
Id say sometime in high school is average. But you should never get a boyfriend just to have one. Wait till you find someone you like who likes you just as much. If that doesn't happen till your 25 that's fine. Wait for the guy who gives you butterflies and respects you.

Anywhere from 12 to 16 is the norm to have your 1st going steady kinda thing. It may feel like everyone else has something you do not, but you will meet someone when you least expect it :) I was 13 when I had my 1st boyfriend. Don't worry too much about it, besides.. 1st relationships usually end with a broken heart, so you're the lucky one so far!

It’s not a matter of average age, it’s when you feel ready. I’ve known 40 year olds who have never dated and 10 year olds having relationships. It’s just not time yet, don’t try to force it or rush it. You’re 13, it’s not a bad thing if you’ve never had a boyfriend.
