Is it ok to go on dates with multiple people?

I've been going through a tough time lately and thus decided to go on a dating app for the first time. Probably not the best combo, but so far it's gone alright. I've gone on 3 dates with 3 guys so far. The first ended up ghosting me, and the two after have been successful and we're already planning our second dates. One of the guys wanted me to delete the app and date him, but I felt that it was too soon to commit (I also may or may not have commitment issues...). Honestly, I just want to put myself out there and enjoy meeting new people. But, I'm afraid of how this might affect people's perception of me if they found out. A couple of my close friends know that I've been going on dates with different people, but I'm definitely afraid to let others know. How would you feel about this? And have any of you been in a similar situation?

Delete the app after first date? Red flag alert!

I was going out with this girl, who told me she didn't want to make a fool out of me and so she has to tell me she is also meeting with other guys from the app. She did it face to face and I apreciated the honesty and told her, I am cool with it. I didn't feel like I want to commit yet either - we only went out few times. As long as people are honest, it is fine. But I mean honest even with the fact they are no longer interested in meeting. If they can come forward with also seeing others, they should also have the balls to break things off - no ghosting or slow fading.

But I somehow understand women can be afraid to share this information with the guy. Especially if he wants them to delete the dating app right after the first date.

So long story short, just go with it, but be careful and safe.

The guy who asked me to delete the app did elude to possible control issues (leading to break-up) in his last relationship... so you may be right about that red flag. However, I understand that he likes me and he's probably ready to settle down (he's a bit older than me), but we've only gone on one date together so far (!!) You're right, I should just be upfront about it. It's just difficult for me because I am very much a people-pleaser and I don't want to dissapoint haha

I had similar experience. That is completely normal. You probably want best for yourself and how could you choose the best partner if you can't meet other people, right? Just enjoy your choices free of guilt no matter of other people's opinions. You're CEO of your own life.

Exactly my thinking! I've always felt a tug to broaden my horizons. After all, there are so many people in this world, how could you limit yourself to such a small pool?

I think you're doing the right thing. You're meeting new people, building your confidence at dating and you might meet someone you really like. Don't worry too much about what your friends think, it's not as if you're sleeping with the guys at the first opportunity. It's probably best to explain to the guys that you're dating other men though. Good luck!
