I was with my friends with benefits for 4 years on and off, he never wanted to be exclusive. I always loved him, and forever will… he ran into me and another man while we were on a date. We are not exclusive yet but it’s getting there; he’s my almost boyfriend. I asked my friends with benefits why he unfollowed me, he said he thinks my boyfriend is gay…. If we were never exclusive why would he do that? He didn’t want to be with me, so why would I be exclusive to him? Why can’t he be happy for me? I’m totally chill being just friends with him! I want to live my life and find love wtf

its because as you mentioned you are "friends with benefits". Now that you have a boyfriend obviously you are not going to continue being his friend with the benefit now you are just friends, and quite frankly he doesn't gain anything from just being your "friend" at least before he got sex from you and now is getting nothing in return. And even if he didn't want anything exclusive, no guy wants to see a girl they used to have a thing with (even if its just sex) post about another man, because let's be honest you will post your boyfriend on Insta here and there and he just doesn't want to see that, doesn't need that kind of energy in his life, and it also makes it easier for him to forget about you without having to see you posting constantly.
