Well, if I was into dating and I would have failed to thoroughly check my potential boyfriend thoroughly, I would be at fault for having overseen such a red flag. That is about as toxic as a relation can be besides cheating emotionally and physically.

I would be the only one to blame if I did not see it come. However, the second he opens his mouth to voice his thought, that would be the second that he is no longer my boyfriends.

I do not tolerate nonsense and that fantasy of his is definitely nonsense. I have my dignity and self-esteem and my health is much more important to me than any boyfriend.
