Do you avoid befriending attractive same gender friends to increase your dating potential?

I just hang hang out with whoever I want to. Looks have never really had an impact on who I befriend.

Oh no, in school I did the complete opposite. I would befriend very attractive guys because they were always around pretty girls. I didn't want to date any of them, but I think that if I was more dating-centered, I could have definitely gotten some dates. More than I would have if I befriended people uglier than me. Because it just so happened that the attractive people had greater status. And when I was around them, my status went up.

No. Someone's attractiveness has never crossed my mind when making friends. And in terms of dating, my dates wouldn't meet my friends for a while, and should their head be turned better to know before it gets too serious

It's funny you bring that up. I've always wondered how this works on Pics on dating websites. I mean not every Pic you post is a selfie and it always makes me wonder when a woman looks at my Pics is she looking at the other guys in my pics and comparing me to my other guy friends. Or if they're looking at the other women in my Pics and comparing themselves to them.

That makes no sense. I've been out with male VGL friends and it brings girls around like crazy. Proximity is one of the first requirements to meet a girl in person.

I don't care about looks when making friends. It is based on who is nice to me, common interests etc. My friends are usually pretty good looking somehow 🤷‍♀️

I’m friends with all nice people. However, I have encountered some same gender attractive "friends" that act superior than everyone else. Once I sense, that I start to keep away from them.
