It is likely due to your age. Good men that are single with no kids, but want a good mate to create and raise a family with won't be interested in a woman past 30 most of the time. You'd have better luck trying with a single father or someone that doesn't want kids because the good men that do want kids will want someone younger.
You are competing with other women. What can you offer/bring to a relationship for a good man that someone else can't?
Why should he choose you over someone younger that likely has been with less people, has less drama from past experiences, has less chance of damaging their future kids from drug and alcohol use over time, and didn't think they were having "fun" (hooking up) in their younger years and then expecting someone to accept them later on.
People's past matters and the less bad past they have, the more desirable she is for a long term serious relationship.
Many women try to convince themselves that they can live however they want and then later in life when they aren't very desirable anymore that someone good will want them. The truth is they are quite low on the desirable scale as far as getting a good mate goes after 30.

My personal experience, from the male perspective is that, online there's nothing, but fakes and scammers and shallow swipe left types who ignore polite messages, (if they even see them, because their inboxes are stuffed with dick pics and indecent proposals, so why bother looking?) or who ghost after two exchanges without getting to know anyone because they assume the convo is going to go into the gutter at any moment anyway. Paid is NO better than free.

There ARE quality men out here, but saying so online doesn't get any reaction. All of the women are real, until they aren't, and all of the guys are nice guys, until they aren't, and I honestly don't blame women for thinking there aren't any nice guys online. The pigs and fakes have ruined it for both men and women. I NEVER found one REAL woman after thousands of messages! The first woman I talked to offline, I find success... and honestly, wasn't even expecting it, because I wasn't even trying, until one day she hands me her number and says text me.
I honestly see no way of stopping any of the bad things that each side encounters. Posting a profile on a dating site, paid or free, makes zero difference, because the fakes and pigs will pay too. Verifying someone's identity doesn't keep anyone from doing anything either.
Online dating is a scourge. It's a place where good people look bad, and bad people look better, and where everyone feels worse for the experience. Online dating is truly NOT worth the time, energy, or money one invests in it. It's a literal pipe dream.

It seems you have quite a bit of experience in online and you have tried it before. In my view, surely not all men would be like that but I can understand what you are saying.
What I can suggest instead of looking for dating online, you can follow a slightly different approach. First you should just look and search to find a genuinely good guy and just concentrate on keeping in touch and quality friendship and see how it goes and over the time if he happens to like you and wants to date you then at least you would have the quality man that you wanted.
Yes this approach may take time and test your patience but at least this way you will know and understand if he is genuinely interested in dating you and taking things forward or not.

Vast majority of women who marry men that are 10+ years older eventually tend to regret it later on in life. But by then, it would be too late. It gets increasingly harder to get remarried as you get older in life. And if you have 3 kids , divorce causes a lot of trouble.

As for socioeconomic, from a woman's point of view it might seem true but women ultimately always marry up whether in regards to education, wealth, intelligence, social status or whatever, she might settle for equal in regards to socioeconomic but she wants a man that's better than she is, basically hypergamy. Its your age and that you're probably trying with guys your own age or only a little older. When you're younger you are highly attractive for relationships and can call the shots so to speak but you didn't find a serious one that lasted. Now in your 30s your the low one on the totem pole and have little dating value. So its not the guys are low quality its that the same guys will treat you different than a younger woman.
