Me and this girl have been with each other for a little bit. Past couple weeks she’s been less talkative. Today she texted me.

She told me she isn’t ready for a relationship and that she still needs time to heal from her abusive ex. She told me she wants me to find someone who can give me more time and be there emotionally.

She still wants to speak with less commitment.

How do I proceed/what should I say? I can’t tell if this is a permanent friend zone or not.

I feel like from what you said, it's exactly what she's saying. She needs time to heal, and she feels like you would both benefit the most if you both just moved on. Her move on so she can heal from her past and be a better person. And you move on so you can find someone better and more suited for you right now. If you are both really suited for each other, you will come together again in the future, but if not, then that's how it was supposed to be if that makes sense.
