Should I ask this guy out for a third date, or wait for him to initiate?

I’ve been dating a guy. He initiated the first date, and I initiated the second. We were supposed to go out for the second on Friday, but he cancelled because he was feeling sick, and I had to initiate the rescheduling which I felt so-and-so about.

Anyway, the date went well. He double texted me 10 minutes after dropping me off to tell me that he really enjoyed the day, and that he’s sad we didn’t get to take a picture together. The day after, he initiated a conversation, asked me how my day went, and has replied to my instagram stories a couple of times since then.

I wanna initiate the third date because I wanna see him next weekend, but I’m wondering if I should hold it off since I initiated the second one? I normally would just ask him out, but I saw advice on reddit about how if a guy is interested he’ll just take initiative. I also don’t wanna come off as too much. What do you guys think?

I think you should wait and see if he initiates the date. You both took turns with asking each other out and now I feel like it’s his turn again to ask you. Especially since he expressed what a good time he had with you, it must be on his mind that he’d like to go out again. I’d say wait a bit and see if he initiates.
