Anyone else strongly prefer to date bilingual people with a different mother tongue to their own?

I have always loved language learning and the challenges it brings. Lol. I never consciously made these decisions but so far I've only dated one person who isn't bilingual and speaks my own mother tongue. If I date a monolingual, he has the choice to either break up with me or join me on the journey to learn. Life is just more interesting when learning about different cultures.

I think it is advantageous for children to have parents that speak different languages or dialects. 👶 👩‍🍼 🚼 🍼

it is not a preference of mine... it has been just a (not so much of a) coincidence that they all happened to speak at least two languages, like me... and yes this is a very nice thing in so many ways but I sure that I could go without it, either they speak just Spanish or just English, it would work for me...

and I could even try with a relationship in which we do not speak the same language but I would very much be willing to learn it if it is French, Italian, Catalá or Portuguese... which are the ones that are very similar to Spanish and I could learn them way quicker and easier

I actually use this to my advantage to meet birds for sex. I used to hate my parents for forcing me to speak 4 languages growing up. But ever since I've been old enough to go to the pub legally, I used it to make myself more interesting to women and so far it's the only thing that worked for me to get free sex

I envy anyone who can speak more than one language. It’s a beautiful strength to have. Definitely makes a guy more attractive in my opinion. Maybe because it makes him appear more worldly?

I prefer an English speaker with English being their main language. But a good accent to top it off is a bonus

I like foreigners mostly, so far I’ve been involved with Swedish, Lithuanian, American and Chinese guys.

With the Chinese one winning my heart for 3 years already.

It’s not a preference per we for me, but It does make things interesting and provides an opportunity for free informal language lessons

that is True, though I never date with the intention of using someone to learn a language, at most anyway they will help me practice, I need to do most of the work to learn myself.. then sometimes I can practice with them, but not necessarily.
