True, but you missed one thing. It's actually only *four* percent of heterosexual women willing to date same height or shorter men. 4%. Not 10%. Meaning 96% of straight women want a tall man.

If a short guy isn't getting a girl, it's not because he's short. It's some other reason. As long as he keeps blaming height, it means he's not trying to figure out what it really is. Most likely the real reason is something he can change.

The species is tending to socially expect height for reproduction. It may change but male sexual social norms tend to be longer lasting than females. So it will probably be this way for a while. It may relate to the surplus of good food and clean water in western society. It may relate to the expected increase of heat across the planet and the ability to release heat from the body more effectively with a greater surface area. It might be the stature and it’s significance of dominance. Who knows. It’s basic stuff, personally it would be great if higher intelligence was also prized because our planet might benefit more from that.
