Black male's experience in college "  Back in college I’ve seen the sexiest Asians just throw themselves heavily at white guys.  It was a surreal experience to say the least. I thought I had some sort of favoritism being an  exotic, good looking black guy. I never dated at all in high school, so had no idea what to expect in freshmen year, but I remember  the first girls I ever talked to were Asian & they wanted nothing to do with me . I had a white girl that I befriended and at my first big social circle, she was my wing women & everything she told me to say seemed really good. I had no idea how to interact with women myself but the  Asian girls still seemed just… indifferent, like they had no reaction to me & it wasn’t fun. Everyone else I encountered freshmen year was extremely social & fun to talk to. It was probably because they knew I was talking to them with romantic intent & didn’t want to lead me on or had no interest . Then I asked a close white friend and he told me that  Asian girls don’t like black guys, they are obsessed with whites , don’t take it personally. Some time later next semester, I got semi close to an Asian girl whose a friend of my best friend. When we all hung out, she talks about the little things her boyfriend does that she doesn’t like but she gets very gushing about him anyway. Fast forward to sophomore second semester we were all hanging out in the student game room… she reads her phone text & begins crying & runs to the bathroom. My friend and I share a concerned face. Never knew what happened but  I thought that this boyfriend must be a real catch .  Until I saw his pictures and he was a very chubby, very average or a bit below average white guy .  This girl was a 5ft Asian girl with perfect features everywhere, and had a very bubbly, love-able personality . Fast forward 2 years later, they break up. It’s revealed the dude she gave so much love to saw her as a fetish to release all his desires upon."

Yes and no, from Asian women I know/knew, and my wife, one reason is pressure in the community. The expectation to marry an Asian guy pushes them to or away from that direction, when weighing other choices a lot of factors come into play.

The community my wife comes from is Vietnamese refugees from the Vietnam war. They grew up in the same projects and hoods. They got ostracized, robbed, and beat down by black people until they formed their own gangs, and wealth, to get out of the bricks. Another one would be hollywood, the white guy is always glamorously the hero. Circling back around to family they might be upset for their daughter dating a white guy and not an Asian, but not as much as if he was black.

Just going off of what I was told. Granted I never chased Asian women unless an opportunity just threw itself at me. The bar is higher there and often not worth the effort. They know they're more desirable, can set ridiculous conditions, and some guys will still jump through those hoops.

I know I'm not offering any solutions, but knowing can help you formulate your own. It's not a problem, or goal I ever had, so never thought about it much.

This is a pretty complex topic and is hard to answer fully in a few sentences, but I'll try.

First of all, Asian men are preferred by the vast majority of Asian women and definitely by their parents. Their parents are extremely influential when it comes to their children's choice of partners, especially if the parents are immigrants. Immigrant parents in particular are very worried about their grandchildren not speaking the grandparents' native languages properly and losing their culture. Another issue is the much higher rates of divorce and single parenthood for whites and especially blacks as these are very much frowned upon by Asians. Parents will make exceptions for a partner who brings a lot to the table financially, though, as financial security trumps everything else.

I've had some Asian gfs (most foreign-born) and I found that being able to speak to their parents conversationally in their primary language to be very helpful, as difficult as it may seem. Understanding their culture in general will help a great deal.

No, it’s not about that. Large parts of asia are very racist. Many Asians are the most racist people you’ll find on earth and it’s especially black people they view negatively. Getting a black partner wouldn’t be ok for many Asian peoples parents or grandparents, even if they live outside of asia. Asian culture also have many ”white” traits as beauty standard. Like big unhooded eyes, non flat noses, white skin and so on. White people have these traits so many Asians will be attracted to them, while black people in many aspects are complete opposite of what’s deemed attractive (dark skin, not the ”white” kind of nose and so on). So many Asians are also obsessed with money and social status and black people aren’t seen as being able to contribute enough of that.

Much may depend on how many generations they are removed from Asia. My wife's family (ethnically Korean) were considered "progressive" among their peers. My wife married me (I am white) but her siblings and cousins mostly married other Koreans.

My friend who is Vietnamese married a Latina, and that scandalized his parents. His parents being born and raised in Vietnam. But his brother married a white guy (him being gay also scandalized his parents) and his other brother married a white woman. His sisters either married Vietnamese guys or a white guy.

Sadly, according to my wife and several of my Asian friends and colleagues, what would be considered racist talk here in America is often just everyday conversation in Japan, Korea, and China. As subsequent generations are raised here in America, I think that would probably reduce.

Most Asians are pretty racist when it comes to physical looks, and certain Asians, like Filipinos, idealize white men. So yes many Asian women are against themselves or their children marrying black men, but it's pretty much purely for aesthetic reasons rather than cultural/economic reasons, since both black and white people come from many backgrounds.

I don't know. Black people in general aren't very well liked in the Asian community, because of their association with violence and poor work ethic. So the qualities you mentioned are probably another reason too. Plus, I think Asians in general are very proud of their race and want to keep it pure.

Yes and no. I'm going to get hate for this but Asian culture, especially Chinese and Japanese, are EXTREMELY racist toward black people in general. The more traditional (read: older generation) don't even bother to hide it. I legit asked a friend of mine who was Chinese in college about this and this is exactly what he told me. The girls are probably afraid from getting disowned or cast our from their family.

I think the premise is false. In my experience Asian women love black men. Depends on what part of Asia buy usually Philippino, Vietnamese, and Tai women go crazy for black me. Korean women not so much.
