+1 yYou admit your comment was insensitive and clearly it upset him and was a poor first impression. All you can do is apologize and see if he'll reconsider. But first impressions are often the only chance you get.
Forgive yourself and watch it next time.03 Reply- +1 y
Did you see in the comments what my comment to him was?
- +1 y
No, I'll look right now.

IT sounds like this guy IS awkward and overly sensitive, so why are you so eager to be with him. He's pulled away. I think moving on would be best. Why are YOU so upset about HIS being upset. He was. It doesn't sound like a good fit. There are millions of men out there! Keep your options open.

Tbh during our date he was very shy and awkward. when I vaguely asked him how our date went I think he got insecure and thought that I was judging him. He said that the date wenr alright. Then I said ” and what exactly alright means ?”
+1 yYou can try and talk to him to clear the air but he may be too sensitive for you. Good luck.

Is it common that guys are insecure and insensitive?
- +1 y
Well, I don't think so. I grew up in new York where everyone is sarcastic. When I moved away, it took me awhile that a lot people did not understand sarcasm and will actually have their feelings hurt. And then I'd have to to explain that I was just joking. Eventually, I had to learn to turn the sarcasm way down. So, I can relate to this.

Tbh during our date he was very shy and awkward. when I vaguely asked him how our date went I think he got insecure and thought that I was judging him. Especially when I said ” and what exactly alright means :D?”
- +1 y
Yeah, maybe other girls have goofed on him about his shyness so he may be sensitive to that. I know I'm shy and some girls make fun of that.
- +1 y
Should I give him a call?
- +1 y
Yeah, I would call him and try to clear things up. Although, I can't guarantee he will respond the right way.
- +1 y
If you was very shy and awkward during the date with a girl and after that she asks you” what do you think about how the date went?”
What would be your first thoughts? That she’s making fun of me or something else? - +1 y
I don't think I've been asked that. But I think I would answer good because you can not really say bad. I don't think I would take it as making fun of but I think it would just depend on how the date went and want the vibe of the girl was. It could come off that she was insecure or he could come off that she wanted to make sure that you had a good time.

He said alright
- +1 y
He was very nervous and awkward. I tbh cut the date short because he was awkward… we were on tue coffee shop for an hour.
- +1 y
It sounds like he was nervous and had first date nervousness. Like I said try reaching out to try and explain. I'd like to know how it goes. Good luck.
- +1 y
Explain what?
- +1 y
That you weren't trying to hurt him or be sarcastic.

I was stupid and called him on Wednesday
I wanted to work out things with him after he rejected me. I feel like I might have said or done something that upset him. I had unfollowed him on Monday and I called him on Wednesday. . He said that he wanted to call me on Monday but had noticed that I had unfollowed him. He said “ don’t you think that it was bit radical to unfollow me?”. Then he basically said that we don’t each other etc and said no to working things out
How it’s radical when he rejected me. I don't know if he’s hurt and his ego is talking….

He told me that his surgery got postponed. I then said why am I not suprised ( I meant during covid many procedures have got postponed also I’m a nurse so I know the reality in the hospital). At that point I noticed that his energy changed…

It just sounds like you two may have difficulty communicating with each other.
You could try to talk to him about it if he's really important to you.
- +1 y
I thought that I would give him a call but I don't know if that’s desperate?
- +1 y
Only you and him know if there's enough attraction and chemistry there for it to be worthwhile to continue dating. I'm not sure what kind of conversations you've had together, but you seem very scared to talk to this person and be open and honest. He seems a bit insecure or closed off maybe?
I you don't know you two well enough to judge, but to me you wouldn't seem desperate if you wanted to touch base with him and just see how he feels about you. That way there's no confusion and you can either keep dating or walk away from it knowing that he wasn't right for you. - +1 y

He seems a bit touchy and unforgiving towards you to be honest.
Like he isn't really looking for a relationship right now or something. I get the feeling that you may be wasting your time on him because he isn't showing signs of trying very hard to woo you, or win your heart. - +1 y
Do you think that he’s hurt?
- +1 y
I’m not contacting him anymore and will do my best to move on.
- +1 y
I don't think he's hurt, but if he is, it's due to being a bit over sensitive about insignificant things.
Do you really want to be in a relationship with a person who may get upset every other day because you weren't perfect, or misspoke, or had a misunderstanding because he couldn't find his car keys or whatever? I don't know you, but maybe you would be more comfortable with a person who's a little more easy going and fun. - +1 y
What do you think is going on with him?
- +1 y
Also why would he say that it was radical that I unfollowed him?
- +1 y
That's difficult for me to say having never met him.
Sometimes people just give you signals that confirm whether they're into you or not. He doesn't seem overly enthusiastic does he?
Maybe I'm the wrong person to talk to because I'm someone who gets very excited about having a girlfriend, I probably overdo it and bow to her too much. Sometimes that works out great if she's as into me, but other times it just leads to a one-sided relationship where I'm walking on eggshells and always trying to hang onto her. Always worrying about what she's thinking, if she's mad, hurt, or whatever. It seems like you may be pursuing a one-sided deal with this guy. Not that it can't work, but don't expect him to treat you like gold if he doesn't see you that way. I've been through it. - +1 y
Why did he say it was radical?
I think he sees you as impulsive because unfollowed him so quickly.
Maybe that's just not his style and it's a red flag to him that you're not a match. - +1 y
He did reject you though, so it's reason that you unfollowed.
- +1 y
*Reasonable.
- +1 y
I don't know why he didn’t cut things sooner… who knows maybe he will regret and beg for a chance lol that would be funny
- +1 y
Also He was very nervous and awkward. I tbh cut the date short because he was awkward… we were on the coffee shop for an hour.

I also removed him from my Instagram and won’t contact him so it’s over for us. It’s funny how he was mad that I unfollowed him
- +1 y
It's possible.
Sometimes you don't know what you've got till it's gone. For now he just seems very aloof and it's difficult to fall in love with a person who isn't reciprocating it.
- +1 y
Yeah it might be best to move on.
Maybe he doesn't understand that it's hurtful when you get rejected? He should empathize. - +1 y
by the way he was undergoing surgery today. Maybe that’s stressing him out?
- +1 y
It could be a possibility, hopefully he gets through it and recovers.
I think the communication between you two would have to improve a lot to make a go of it.
Good luck. 🙂
- +1 y
Yes definitely. I think the problem was that we just texted…
Hehe you asked this earlier.. no? 😂

Opinion Owner+1 yWell you can't make him date you again. So it is best to just move on.
- +1 y
But what if he said that because of his insecurity and thought I don’t want to see him?
Opinion Owner+1 yYou can ask.
- +1 y
I thought that I would give him a call but I don't know if that’s desperate?
Opinion Owner+1 yA single call is not desperate.
- +1 y
Is it good sign if he picks up the phone?
Opinion Owner+1 yGenerally
- +1 y
One person said that if You piss of a Guy that really doesn't want to talk to you or isn’t interested he won't uusually block you, but you'll never hear from him again.
Opinion Owner+1 yI usually only block people who are abusive.
- +1 y
But if he picks up the phone wouldn’t that mean that he wants to work out things?
Opinion Owner+1 yLikely
- +1 y
How likely in your opinion?
Opinion Owner+1 yI think like 70-80%.
Should I just remind him about our date, or leave it alone and wait?
