I had been using dating apps on and off for years. I have met a few guys from online dating and majority there was never a second meet up š dating can be so awkwardā¦. When I say dating apps I donāt mean tinderā¦. Like FB dating, bumble, match. com etc.
It got to point where I just wasnāt looking and sending every guy I matched with a simple āhiā message š so pretty much at beginning September 2021 I matched with a guy, sent a hi message and he was the first to strike a conversation worth having other than the classic āhi how are you?ā
We talked for like a week on the dating site before exchanging numbers. Then by end of September, we met in personā¦ as people meeting each other for the first time, not a date.
I was instantly attracted to him physicallyā¦ so I spent most of the first meet up trying to not look at him directly š but we talked for hours. Got coffeeā¦ had a walk and some laughs.
Fast forward to current day (June 2022) we have met up many times since. Heās met my friends, Iāve met his. He mentions in subtlety he hasnāt used dating apps for a whileā¦ for example āI just got an email from bumble, I thought I deactivated my accountā¦. Canāt even remember my password to go in and deactivate I havenāt used it for over 6 monthsā
Sometimes I would catch him just staring at meā¦. Not in a creepy way š he also just messages me out of blue saying he wants to talk to me about something important like which Science masters should he do. Or how to deal with a personal social situation in his life.
I do like him, heās been nothing but a gentleman with me but he makes me feelā¦ included. And tbh heās the first guy Iāve had actual ābutterflies in stomachā feeling in the last 3-4 yearsā¦. I was with my high school boyfriend for 7 years and ended really badly. Been single since.
I just donāt want to make a fool of myself for a guy who is just being friendly š
