Kinda. I used to keep most of my cash on the local non visa bank card, however some shops don't have the machine for it and only have for visa. So it happened a few times.

It did happen to me once. It wasn't my fault. They detected suspicious activity on my card so they locked the card. I did have other cards and cash so it was no big deal

The card, which was said to offer a discount while buying fuel, was automatically cancel after a while because its agreement with the company has expired. this upset us.
