Yes. The man is always holding us down, but the people have the power to fight for their freedom!!!
All jokes asides... in a relationship? No, duh lol. All women as individuals have the right to make any choice they choose. If you don't like it, then get him to stop or leave. Make sure he knows your feelings about it. Don't hold yourself hostage, you will grow bitter towards you other half, towards yourself, and towards life.
Good luck on your journey sister! Do yourself a favor and let yourself be happy.
    :)

and remember, a true leader has to be chosen to lead and worthy of it. A true leader isn't going to make selfish discissions but has a responsibility to put his pack first. Find a good pack leader. Not a power grabbing tyrant with the mental state of a selfish 5 year old. A Man-child is not a real Man.

To be honest, I believe that no one is in full control of anything, and that the more brainpower we put into planning something, the better the results will be. Therefore, I believe that collective control is the best way to have a sustainable household, and that the person who is better at something should be in charge of it.

I believe in 50/50 partnership. That’s why it’s called that. Partners. If only one is in control, then the other one ☝️ just follows what the leader says. There has to be a compromise. Give and take. Unless you’re my boss, then you can take the lead and control. But if you’re my man, you have to listen to what I have to say and I’ll listen to yours. We can talk about it before we do. WE.

If you subscribe to the premise (as I do) a relationship is a partnership on an emotional level, then logicality dictates you play to one another's strengths. There are times when I find myself taking the lead and other times I'll take a back seat, but what is absolute is we are always on the same page, fighting from the same corner.

No. I think that if we’re together, married and in a serious monogamous relationship, then he is the head of the household and will be respected as such, however that’s a no to him being in control and being in charge of everything. You want to be in a relationship with the person you love, not a relationship where you feel like he’s the father and you’re the child. Someone once said that both have to give 100% in a relation because anything less means that everyone isn’t giving their all to the relationship. Letting one person have all of the control is a prime example of not giving it your all. Some people say you should be submissive, but that doesn’t mean that I can’t have my own opinion and we come to conclusions together.

2 leaders and 2 followers can’t really work is like Yin and Yang. Even thought that particular man in your eyes seems like he is controlling the woman he is with , might actually be helpful to her.. depends how you see it.
There is only wrong and right ! Is the controlling bad as in hurting her? If so thats a long serious topic

But In general in a relationship the women can be the one “controlling” too it’s very common.
My brothers wife she is such an extrovert a leader type my brother is very reserved and let her do the bills and going out etc. they fit for each other.
No that doesn’t mean my brother is weak and soft 🤦🏻‍♀️🙄 that’s simply how he is that’s it !! no need to label things. He takes it easy his wife doesn’t
    Lol

I do not believe the man is in charge and control.
People act like men can only make good choices which is why they should be in control. But I have seen plenty of men make bad decisions when in control. For example shopping. People think girls buy a lot of stuff but some girls don't like shopping, while boys might not like shopping but they can also buy a lot of useless stuff and expensive stuff like girls.
Even if I loved my man I would not let him be in control and in charge. I'll ask him for his opinions and he'll ask me for my opinions.

Also if men are in control and in charge why do the girls clean, cook, and take care of the kids. They should be in charge and in control. After all they earn it.

SO, you either EARN IT or WORK as a TEAM.

I never wanted to be a partner's boss. I'd lose respect for her if she acted like an obedient puppy. I like competent, independent women with brains and sense.

That being said, I do like the lady-gentleman thing. I like feminine women, just not airheads.

I do like when she asks for advice or approval (buy in). But I don't want her to be dependent on my approval. I like being a team. We make decisions together.

Absolutely. However I know women have come a long way to make sure they’re not forced into this position. For the right person I give that all up. But that’s just me and I don’t expect that from any other woman. It all comes down to preference and personality

No, it should be neutral. However, there's things that come naturally towards different people though.

For example, she's so indecisive but a trooper so she follows her man most of the time. Or she's so bossy that she has to have a man that follows her. It can depend on how different personalities work together.

A man is in Charge of himself! God didn't make Eve to be lorded over
The Bible is pretty clear on this. God made woman because he knew Adam needed a helper. Women are typically strong where men are weakest. This is why men and women compliment eachother (when everything is working 🤣).

This assumes the relationship is heterosexual in nature. Either way, the man shouldn't be in charge unless the couple has decided this. Ultimately I believe it should be a partnership. Not one person being subservient to the other. Unless they prefer this, of course.

I believe both the man and the woman should be in control. If both bring the success to the table then both would be free of financial struggle and unhappiness.

To be together, two people have to make and continue to make the choice to be together. Either one can choose to not make that choice. So no I don't think any one person is in charge/control.

Both should depend on each other depending on circumstances. This both being 'independent' is honestly seems to me like a recipe for disaster. There should be enough freedom but certainly their partner's will should have enough weight on their choices.

No. A good leader is in charge and in control. If he wants to be the leader, he has to prove to me that he's capable.
