Should I take a chance or walk away?

So there is this guy I met on a dating site, well he was a guy I went to high school with and I had a crush on him and he had a crush on me. 20 years later we find eachother. Well we've been together for 2 weeks now and our connection is so so strong in every way possible. We both really like eachother and want to give this a serious try. Only problem is, is that he applied for a really good paying job in Virginia and if he gets it I want him to take it and he wants to as well, but it will mean our relationship will end there. We have a date for him to meet my kids in a few days. I'm nervous though because what if my kids love him, and what if I fall even more unlove with him then I already am.
I'm not sure what to do and I just really need some insight.

If the feeling is strong enough to take a chance, I think you should take it. But only you would know because those of us who are leaving our comments can't feel what you feel. If he gets the job in Virginia, why not move to Virginia? Is it that you don't want to move? or is it something else? A job that will move him away from you, doesn't mean that's the end.

If he asked me to move with him, then I would say yes, but my sons father wouldn't go for that, so I would be stuck.
