LOL. no dude, because muscles are REAL. You don't "apply muscles" when you go out and remove them when you go to sleep, like you do make up. Muscles don't provide a totally different image of a person, like make up can. Muscles are part of your everyday appearance, part of you.
If you're trying to make the argument that muscles are used the same way make up is, as a means of attraction, it's a weak argument at best. It takes work and determination to build your body. All it takes is money and a knowledge of how to apply make-up to get gussied up.
Not at all, given the whole effort and "hard work part" muscles require.

I prefer the man on the left and a dad bod than a ripped muscle man any day. I find women attractive when they have their natural make up or no make up look at all. None of that fake eyelashes, nails, caked foundation, overly contoured face and super groomed eyebrows… to answer your question, no muscles are not the equivalent to make up in women. Women can build muscles too
Curious why you prefer dad bods. What about guys who are athletic but not body builder ripped?
@Pinay_ako
Wait... So you're gay?
@Pinay_ako
"I find women attractive when they have their natural make up or no make up look at all. None of that fake eyelashes, nails, caked foundation, overly contoured face and super groomed eyebrows."
I personally would take a muscular woman over a fat one any day. Muscle is easy too lose. All you need to do is stop lifting weights. Plus muscle increases your resting metabolism rate so it burns fat even when you aren’t doing cardio.
Anyway my favorite female body type is a petite yet very athletic gymnast physique for women. Not easy to come across nowadays (I don’t live on a college campus) but just saying.
No, because muscles are real and require longterm effort to develop and maintain.
Makeup is transitory and creates an ILLUSION. Muscles are not illusions, but exist in fact. Makeup can highlight or detract, according to how much is used, what colors are used et al.
Muscles can detract from a man's look if they are too pronounced. But moderate levels of musculature are attractive, burn more calories to maintain and keep a person in shape, literally.
Makeup has nothing to do with exercise or fitness. Makeup, in effect, is like a spanx or girdle. Takes little to no effort to use and creates an illusion, then when removed, the person looks like they did before the application of makeup or the girdle.
Musculature IS a girdle, i. e. it holds your organs in place, and prevents physical injury when you exert yourself. There is no comparison. It is a false syllogism.
Muscles are sort of a weird analogy to makeup.
Perhaps closer would be like dying your hair… you can do stuff (lighting, makeup, diet right beforehand, etc… to make yourself look more muscular or ripped… but you still have to work out and eat right and look decent. But with makeup, you don’t have to be pretty underneath if you’re good enough with makeup, you can make yourself look gorgeous.
Dying your hair, there has to be hair underneath to work with. You can’t be bald and dye it to fool people into thinking you have hair.
(Ok, maybe you can get away with a hairpiece), I don’t know.
In what kind of way?
Make up is a hobby like working out, so yes?
Make up make woman look different muscles don't really change a guys look because they usually wear clothes so you don't see it like make up so no?
You guys seem to find make up not attractive on a girl but girls seem to enjoy muscles so no?
I'm not sure what you are asking here.
I would compare make up to beards if we are speaking of changing the face. A guy with a beard and without a beard look like two completely different people to me. You never know what they are hiding under that beard like you can never tell what a girl is hiding under all that make up.
I guess the beard thing makes sense
I hide my face under my long beard. I’ve given up.

I dont think so...
I mean it can improve looks and having too much can really ruin it
But one is about the health of the person and remains with them
whild the outher is tempery and can change and is only cosmactic
Beside woman can have abs as well that is the eqrivlent
as man can also put on makeup
What do you think of the guys muscle in the pic? I know too much is bad so I tried to look for the perfect body that wasn’t too muscular
Based on personal experience, I have seen dudes with muscles like the one in the pic have hot girlfriends so I know this poll is incorrect.
Or you ask the wrong thing
Or your base assumption is wrong
You asked is makeup and abs the same
That is very general and unclear
You want to maybe get answers closer to yours you should ask ehat you want more clearly
From the current understanding for me, I do not see the context of what you ask to what you take your data from
I can answer this properly.
Why? Because I had the muscle mass of a bamboo plant before I got in the gym. Today I am decently muscled. Even have people who meet me not long ago comment on my physique. I was not bad in my profile picture and I am even bigger now.
So I can tell you the difference that girls treat me with from one point to the other...
They do look. They do like. For sure! But let me very clear that is not enough. While I noticed that they do respond to being approached better, the conversation still has to go well or you get nowhere. Think of muscles as a nice introduction card. Nothing more.
I have friends who got laid whitout having any muscles at all. And thing is with muscles comes more confidence. Girls respond to that very well too so you can consider it a mix of factors.
You earn muscles. There is some genetic influence but no guys gets ripped without putting effort into it. Also there are both physical and mental health benefits as well.
I am athletic guy myself but I sure as heck wasn’t born that way. I was a weakling in grade school. Only kid who couldn’t do a pull up in grade school. I was the second slowest kid for the mile run (only a really chubby girl was slower). I changed all that when I got in HS. I took up cross country and wrestling. I was good at wrestling too.
Well then again... I would say yes d- no that's stupid. When I put on my lipstick, I don't gotta flex my arms just to put it on. And when the day is done, I don't gotta work to take it off. I just wipe some olive oil and it's gone. I don't think that's the same for gaining muscle and being fit.
Not if they acquire muscles in a natural way. Because the perception of someone's fit body would be a direct correlation to their natural genetic potential. But makeup isn't. Makeup can actually lie about genetics. Whereas a healthy & natural body never lies.
I'd have a different opinion if makeup was a natural thing. Like if women could somehow have makeup appear in a certain fixed way depending on their genetics.
Physical capability is something entirely different than cosmetic expression. For guys that starve themselves for a lean look, I can see your point. There's an irony in the Fight Club line about exercise being masturbation delivered from the actor that fasted to be emaciated. Personally, I don't engage in conditioning for looks and it doesn't seem to have earned me glancing appeal anyways.
Lol dude if you can't handle the answers you get when asking a question then maybe don't ask... kind of defeats the purpose when you ask a question then cry liar when you don't get the answer you want..
It’s just suspicious because the dudes with muscles get the hot girls so I’m just confused on why the poll results here say the total opposite
because people are usually attracted to others with whom they share similarities with. If you love going to the gym everyday and focusing on fitness... chances are you will enjoy spending time with someone who also share those interests.
Also comparing physical fitness with cosmetics is a false comparison.
What would you say is the equivalence of makeup on women for men?
the equivalent would be make up...
Men can’t wear makeup? I heard one girl say beards though?
Lmao lots of men wear makeup... never seen a news anchor or man on TV before?
LMAO putting a little concealer on a zit isn't gonna make your testicles fall off
Wearing makeup as a man would hurt my masculinity. You don’t understand as a woman why men have to protect our manhoods
If you think that a little bit of makeup would hurt your masculinity... your masculinity is already hurt.. I think that is called fragile masculinity.
secure men aren't emasculated by cosmetics lol
I am working on my masculinity. I am only in my early 20s but beginning to learn what women want in a guy and just making observations here and there
here is a tip... if you want to learn, don't call women liars when you give you their honest opinions…. no one likes that.
Exactly. Lol let's give a man and a woman each $200. Woman go into the cosmetician, you get two hours to have someone apply all the makeup or whatever. @captain-obvious, go wherever it is you think you can go to buy muscles the way women buy makeup. You also get two hours.
Now two hours later, the two of you go on a date. Hmmm weird, the woman looks beautiful, but you just look like a sweaty mess. Makeup and muscles aren't equivalent.
@zeitgeist057 thank you! Exactly
It's easy for a dude to get somewhere in between these pics here.
Just workout every day and do ONE SET per day of each body part.
You'll notice the change especially in the face. The face drops off quickly, so you can stay at the same weight but have a chiseled facial structure.
Gym membership required?
Nah just get you a 25 lbs weighted vest.
1. One set Pushups
2. One Set Pullups / Chinups (neutral grip is best)
3. Calf Raises
4. Body Squats w/ vest
5. Lateral Raises (do each arm w/ the weighted vest)
6. Bicep Curls (each arm w/ the weighted vest)
You can throw in one set of abs, but I rarely do them and have abs when I cut.
No they aren't, you have to work hard and for a long time to get muscles. You can't just wake up one day and put them on. You can't trick someone into thinking your body looks like that if you didn't work for it.
I can go buy makeup tomorrow to look prettier, not the same thing at all
Not unless you can paint them on without any effort... but in terms of how they increase your attractiveness. Yes no doubt. All women will downplay this though:
https://www.youtube.com/embed/FN8lmtDHhTcNope not at all.
they do not really bring anything at times, if anything some girls don’t like them.
Make up is changeable and customisable to a given situation, event etc.
If they're removable then yes. But that's not the case. If make up was something you work on like doing facial exercises, mewing and eating healthy which results to facial beauty lasting long if maintained, then that would be like an equivalent to muscles on men.
Clothing is the equivalent to make up.
I say this because women love how a man looks in clothes and it changes thier overall perception.
Just like make up can change the overall perception of how a women looks or is perceived.
I say yes but only because it can make a guy thats u attractive in the face, look a little better.
If your face is nice then the whole body thing doesn't matter that much as long as the personality is solid.
Except being lean can turn a guy from cute to hot. Like all the structure of the face comes alive
No, building muscles is difficult and hard job. Make up is just patting 2 kg powder and lip gloss on face.
Makeup takes no long term effort my friend. Muscles take a much longer time to develop and are actually a part of that person, make up is quite literally face paint. It'd be like those strap on muscles
Nah wouldn’t say that. Sure it looks nice but at the end of the day it’s not what will keep someone around, or at least in my opinion
Lmao don’t ask a question if you don’t like the results!
8 women on gag do not represent the majority of women.
I never said that🤔 but you said the women here are lying. Why ask a question if you don’t like what the women here have to say?
Because I know it’s a lie
Then don’t ask questions here if you want to twist peoples opinions to make them fit what you think.
Based on personal experience, I have seen dudes with muscles like the one in the pic have hot girlfriends so I know this poll is incorrect.
That wasn’t your question though. You asked if abs were the equivalent to makeup…
So I don't know why you’re changing the whole thing.
No abs isn’t the equivalent to makeup, gotta be thick if you think it is.
Then what is the equivalent
Nah heavy guys can totally get thinner women
@captain-obvious she is saying more a less what I said. It's nice, they like it, but it's only your introduction card. You need more than that.
Even then abs are not that important
Guys you know u can wear makeup too? Hide a blemish or just look pretty. It dosent have to be feminine.
How would you feel if your fella borrowed your mascara?
Lmao like he dosent have his own
Mussles don't have intellectual or intelligence amongst the decepticons hidden amongst all that insecurity. No problem with any of that. Just consider one day it will be required to display some feelings other than your own. Big heads up. Stop looking in your own mirror and look into the babe your chasing eyes. Much better chance of catching her... Let me know if it works and pass it forward. Another bit of uselful knowledge acquired free by olm8 ..
Um no… muscles are proof of effort… makeups just a way to hide “imperfection”. Men don’t have an equivalent to makeup… except men with makeup and filters lmao.
Make up is deceptive. You're putting on a false front and hiding your blemishes.
Muscles is just being healthy. I mean, obviously, provided you don't take it too far.
Yes in some senses like many guys work out to feel better about themselves.
In the same way women use make-up to feel more secure and cover their "insecurities".
No, they are more equivalent to boobs or butt in my opinion but you can have way more controll over it than we do
No, makeup on men is equivalent to makeup on women.
I needed to rephrase what I asked because what I really meant to ask is what is as powerful as makeup is to women for men? Abs? Girls say no. A car? Girls still say no. Then what is it?
Beard
Muscles are something people work so hard for but makeup just gets plastered on your face and wiped off before bed.
No, dude. Muscles take way more work than make up and, hopefully, don't get wiped off before bed.
no. beards are. because muscles don't "fake" a healthy and attractive look xD they are one. however with clever beard shapin, you can make yourself look way better, like with makeup.
You can't just put muscles on. You have to be patient and develop them through exercise and diet. It doesn't take long to put on make up.
I don't know how you made up this comparison
Women can keep fit as well and that is not artificial like makeup.
Or butt or breast implants, for that matter.
No the comparison is usually between men's facial hair and women's makeup
Not really. If you want like with like, makeup is equivalent to a well tailored suit or certain uniforms. Muscles are equivalent to being slim curvy.
Muscles on men is more equal to a women who are fit and healthy. Facial hair on men would be equal to makeup on women.
Nope, I would say a beard yeah more but muscles aren't that amazing
It the equivalent of big boobs, makeup is fake so it not fits as equivalent.
What attracts the opposite gender... that's what it's all about.
Muscles dont go away after a shower and a night of sleep and have a tangible use in day to day life. Makeup simply looks pretty.
never ever. Muscles are determination, discipline, dedication. All sorts of great things. Makeup has nothing to do with that
Can I ask you a question
Would you dump a great man just because he doesn’t have a huge dick?
I’m just wondering
Society
So you could love a man that’s average size
Breast and dick is completely different but I love average and even below average breasts
A man without muscles still can be hot. But a woman without make up can't be hot unless her face looks at least 8/10.
I think that we need to agree to disagree on that one.
I'd say that most of the time the makeup itself makes her look worse, hiding her true beauty, not better.
The positive impact from makeup isn't really ever from the makeup itself but from her boost in self confidence.
A good genuine smile that reaches her eyes can easily improve how she looks to a guy quite significantly...
But I prefer that happening due to her having fun and enjoying herself rather than due to makeup.
Not even close. Even if a man uses steroids to achieve a look they had to work for the look; makeup is a no effort approach in comparison. In no way equal
Not--not at all. Muscles don't wash off in the shower.
More fair to say that muscles on men are the equivalent of big, firm, natural tits on women.
Men sometimes wear makeup. Women sometimes work out on their muscles. All humans have like 600 muscles.
That’s totally wrong. It’s not just about the muscle. It’s what you make use of the muscles 💪.
I don't think muscles come off someone if you accidentally drop them in acetone.
I absolutely in my life never thought of it that way lol, but I would agree to say that yes it is. I love how people think outside the box 😉😁
Not a real comparison since one is mostly genetic, but the female equivalent is big boobs, big ass, whatever favourable physical traits.
not even close.
makeup on guys would be same as makeup on girls.
check up on mens cosmetics in asia - specifically korea - for more.
No muscles require effort exercise forces you to face reality make up just covers flaws and lets women live a lie
If you mean they're something guys think attract women but they really don't, then yes. I believe most girls are okay with the dad bod.
Muscles take effort and are healthy.
Makeup anyone can use and provides no health benefits in fact it can clog your pores.
No man. Muscles are a physical change that requires work and struggle.
Makeup is simply a mask.
Makeup is to women what a fancy suit is to men.
No, muscles have some practical value. Unless you're a couch potato once you leave the gym.
Id love to know who thinks gaining muscle is anything like putting on makeup.
Muscles on men are kinda equivalent to extra curvyness in women.
no. Make up is fake, muscles are real.
Make up is art tho
I voted B - you can’t take muscles off at the end of the day
