Girls, how do I keep it cool and patient?

Started talking to this girl a week and a half ago, we met for coffee a week after we started talking then had a second date on Friday, both went fantastic and she said she wants to see me again, both dates ended with a hug, the first one a light hug and then the second one a nice tight hug. When we look in each others eyes we both can’t stop smiling, and when I tell her I like her she looked directly into eachothers eyes. Her texting has been consistent since we started talking but she doesn’t always initiate conversations (we talked and she said she’s not the best at making plans or initiating anything). We seem to have great chemistry and enjoy eachothers company, as well we have similar interests and make each other laugh. I know it’s only been a week and a half but it seems like there’s something there and I want to make sure I’m going at the right pace, she feels different from any other woman I’ve ever talked to. Also I have little to no experience with a relationship. How do I keep it cool?

She’s already said she’s not really an initiator, so you know it’s going to be likely that you’ll have to be the first to text/call and to suggest another date…aswell as the guy it’s sorta known to be “Your” thing if you know what I mean?


There’s ways you can really get her involved and get her to open up a little more and that’s by using open ended questions to find out about what she likes and what she wants…like “What’s your idea of a perfect date?” Or “Where have you always wanted to go?”


Also, hats of to you for not going in for the kiss just yet! Shows you genuinely care about her and want to get to know her!


If you really really wanna knock her socks off and give her the best first kiss ever…on your next date, when you part ways or drop her home, tuck her hair behind her ear and kiss her forehead (she will MELT on the spot! and who knows? Maybe she’ll take the initiative and pull you in for a kiss too!)

I have an update! We kissed! Went for a long walk in the woods and ended the hike with a date, she says she still wants to keep going out with me, I think she might be the one for me
