How many people did you have to date before finding someone that you could consider starting a relationship with?

I only date to build a relationship out if it. But i kinda get what you mean since not every date turned into an official relationship. Its just hard to say because i have a pattern of officials and unofficial. I need to date someone for 1-3 months before deciding if i want to be official
