If you're on a date, the woman should always offer to pay even if the man offers to pay first. Its the polite thing to do. If a woman does not offer to pay, that is a red flag.

A man who is interested in the woman , he should always decline her offer to pay, and pay it himself.

The reason why its important for a man to pay for a date is because men are evolutionarily wired to want to provide for and protect women. It is a masculine thing to do.
If you come across a man who is interested in a woman but refuses to pay for her, it is a huge red flag and likely it means he is either cheap or won't be a caring provider for his family. Likely he will turn out to expect his wife to work a job, teach the kids, do all the housework, pay most of the bills, do all the cooking. Thats not a guy that cares.
